I was employed at Premier Toyota of Amherst Ohio Feb 06-Aug 06 after. The dealership didn't open till May of that year but I was there before opening with a select few new employees to get it ready for opening. I worked there for over 24 weeks before I found out I was pregnant and it was high risk. I was put on maternity leave by my doctor with a note of possible misscarriage if I didn't get off my feet. The owner was not happy at all siting that I was already a risky hire... this said since I had made him aware at hiring the only reason I had a lapse in employment before employment with Premier Toyota was because I took a year off for cancer surgery and chemo. I'm very honest. Anyway when I was allowed by my physician to return to work I gave a doctors release to Premier Toyota and they had me come in but only offered me a car sales position... this to a graphic designer and former business development manager. Whatever happened to the promise of a comparable position like the EEOC promised. The EEOC investigated and Premier Toyota told them I never came back for my job??? So they dropped there investigation at that. I have the meeting on tape too and the EEOC never asked for my evidence... the EEOC is my next complaint on this site what a joke they aren't looking out for the little guy. Then I went to get unemployment and couldn't becuase it turned out even though I have 24 weeks of paystubs... BOB FISHER the owner didn't start paying in to unemployment but 15 of those weeks. Screw the little guy. And he speaks of being there for the community. SO I had a newborn no job no income and had to go on welfare till I could get back in the workforce. Lost my car. He also kept my last bonus and never paid me the agreed salary he promised in his initial hire email to me. Always an excuse. I guess it goes to show you can't trust a car salesman... yes the owner was just a car salesman before.
I hate Premier Toyota and feel a little acid come up in my mouth everytime I see his commercial with his fake promises and cheerful demeanor knowing what an ass he truly is and what a lie he truly represents.
All statements in this are fact by me and I welcome anyone who wants to challenge them including the legal counsel of Premier Toyota. I save my letters from the doctor, the letter from Premier to go to the meeting about returning to work and I recorded the actual meeting. I might not can afford an attorney to sue them for loss of wages and blatantly discriminating against a pregnant woman but Most certainly will make my experience known to everyone I encounter!
