I was contacted by Prepayed Legal, after submitting a legal question online. I was told that prepayed Legal could help me with my employment case and provide the legal advice that I needed for the case. But once I payed for the service, I almost could never get a clear answer to the questions that I asked. I asked for a attorney who take my case on contingency. The company provided me with two attorneys total. Both attorney did the same thing, I contacted them and they listen and asked me questions about my case. After listening to the details of my case they both said that they would take on the case. But after the conversations I heared nothing from either attorney.
I spent over a month wait for a response from my phone calls. I never recieved answer form prepayed legal or from the attorneys as to why my calls were being ignored, and why they accepted the case and then refused to talk to me. Finally, I recieved my letter of right to suefrom the EEOC, and I contacted Prepayed legal to get legal advice on how to file my case in court. I requested to have an attorney go over the paperwork, before I file it with the court. I was told on several occations that I would have to pay $5000.00 for any advice, that I would recieve on the filing of my case. I was told that I could not hire an attorney on an hourly basis for advice on the case or to review document. But my contact with Prepayed states both of these things are option covered in the contract. I was told by customer Service that the advice that I recieved was not correct, and I should have been able to take advantage of either one of the legal options. Because of the lack of legal advice from prepayed attorney, it has now affected the out come of my case. What are options now?
