Total scam
I paid $50 for a 30 day trial of their online video series. Despite trying to cancel several times online during the 30 day period, today(day 33) I noticed a bill for $240 on my Chase credit card (transaction #25140611169002997599829). I called prepogic immediately! I was told that I'm locked into a 2 year contract with them at a $2700 expense, . I told them that I cancelled online/. They said they had no record of the cancellation, and I was told that there's nothing that I can do, that I have pay them or risk a negative credit rating/. I spent several hours on the phone only confirming the fact that I should have avoided Preplogic! These people are scam artists. They are more focused on sticking you with a bill than providing you with useful training materials . This isn't a $20 transactaion; it's almost $3000!. What kind of company locks you into a punitive contract for 2 years after 30 days!!?? In these uncertain economic times, I'm shocked that these unethical snake oil scam houses can still conduct business. Preplogic customer service is worse than the DMV. They took hours to return my call. I have left numberous voicemails with customer service reps but they are not interested in solving my problem; they are interested in taking my money and scoffing at my family's suffering since we cannot afford this service.

Be careful of this company. Its a scam
I tried to cancel my transaction with this company after realizing it was not what i wanted but could not get any one to help. Contact Phone numbers don't work and one 800 number gave me the runaround until when My card was charged and i used the number on my credit card bill, before getting a voicemail that sounded like somebody's personal mailbox. I left a message and my difficulties in taking off the charges from my card, it took the lady three days to call and left a message, that she could not help me since my 30 day trial period had past.

Please, stay clear from this fraudulent business practices. preplogic is a scam!

Refuses to cancel 30day trial
After months of harrassment by them getting me to try out their training products on a 30 day trial I succumbed. However they refused to accept that I cancelled using their tickeing system even though I sent them a screen shot and sent a mail to the sales representitive saying that I sent a ticket to cancel but have had no response. My credit card company is dealing with this now.

I am very dissapointed with this company. They must be desperate enough to do this and I hope a class action is made against them soon to stop them trading.

By the way I recommend Cisco Networking Academy for CCNA and IT Essentials if anyone is thinking of both distance and classroom learning.

All I want is to cancel my sub.
After being so close to passing my Network+ test getting a 652 out of 720 and failing because of old material. I thought I'd give preplogic a try so I bought there mega guide, after getting a phone call and thought I'd try there online deal for 30 days and wanted to cancel it. Gave them a call the representative was rude and did not like the tone or email she gave me about trying to cancel, they said I couldn't and gave me a email for my social security number to "help them on there billing". There will be ice cream parlors in hell before I do that.

Not even giving me the options like "cell phone companies" where even there representative says you have to pay a fee to cancel the contract. I find this business even if you wanna call it one a joke, and will tell people who are trying to study for IT test not to even bother with preplogic's online training and software even if you get a call from any one it will be to the best intention to hang up on them. I find the book ok, taking the time to change my credit card number and phone also adding any email about this site to the spam list. After all this I have a bad taste in my mouth, to a point where I don't want to even study with there book.

fraud
Prep logic offers a free 30 trial but makes it almost impossible to cancel the service. The phone number they give you is not manned all the time. I tried for 3 days before the 30 days to cancel and was unable to get through. They need a class action law suit!!!

Impossible to Cancel service
Do not use this company for training. You can't cancel the service regardless of what it says when you sign up. Their customer service department is only there to remind you that you owe them money, don't look for their help or sympathy...you won't find any. Even when I told them they can keep the months that I already paid ( I didn't realize that they didn't cancel my service when I asked them to), but I would like to cancel the service as of now - they said I missed the cancellation window and now owe them the full $3000.

The best part of this is that they contacted me because they thought a payment didn't go through, when I told them that I cancelled they checked the account and realized that the monthly payment did in fact go through, and there was not problem. As if I didn't just tell them that I had sent them a cancellation notice!!! Of course there was nothing they could do about that, because that was not their problem!!! It was mine.

Bottom line...THERE IS NO TRIAL PERIOD!!! You better want to pay them regardless of what you get, what you use, and what you want. Those are all your problems...not theirs.

It's Times like these that I am glad to be part of the very large IT community in greater NYC. These actions will not go unrecognized in groups on Linked-In, Facebook, Twitter, and any forum about bad business practices.

Scam
Prep Logic *** you in with a "Free" 30-day trial. At this point they lull you to sleep with a 15 minute reading of the terms and conditions. Well hidden in the terms and conditions is the fact that you are authorizing them to charge you as they see fit. It does not matter what your salesperson tells you, you will be charged in full 30 days from the date you agree to the "Free" 30-day trial.

Do NOT agree to ANY THING unless you are absolutely 100% ready to purchase the full package. There are absolutely NO special deals, NO payment plans, NO financing terms and most importantly NO refunds.

Their product is fairly decent, so I do not understand why they insist on tricking people into thinking they are just signing up for a trial. I've read several reviews of single, unemployed mothers who were promised a payment plan by their sales person, only to be charged in full at the end of the 30-day trial.

I myself tried to go through my credit card company and have the charges reversed, but lost that battle. Again, be careful, do not give them ANY of your information unless you are 100% ready to pay the $3, 000 program fee.

Preplogic is simply evil
Reading the thread on PrepLogic makes me wonder if some of the replies are not actually from PL employees. If someone from another planet where suddenly transported here, they might think after reading the complaints that this was common practice for all companies. The problem is its not, there are reputable and honest companies who do business everyday and do well by treating their customers with respect. When a company decides that all their customers should be treated like they are trying to steal from them, then how the react and deal with customer service situations is very different.

First, I need to say, it was my mistake for ever doing business with PL. It was my dumb A**S for ever trusting this company with my CC information. I should of know or gone with my gut when they asked me to photocopy my CC and Drivers Lic. The only person I can blame is myself for not reading every fine print of the monthly installment agreement. I didn't read the the whole agreement on my receipt and I did not follow the the directions exactly as written and now I am out of $500 dollars. How could I be so stupid to think that PL would do the HUMAN thing and not treat me like a thief. My bad, and now I have to learn the hard way. Now I have to cancel my CC account all together so I don't get into any more trouble.

Its an amazing thing to witness how this company operates. The way they word their agreements. The way they make sure that they maximize and take advantage of every situation so that they can grab as much money as they can from the customer before they flee. My stupid a**s would of been fine paying every month for their services. But that was not good enough for them. TWO days after they tried to charge my Debit Card and it declined for $191.00, they went ahead without any warning, and charged the same Debit Card $750 instead. It doesn't matter that the debit was on a Saturday after Thanksgiving and my bank had not processed my deposit I made on Friday and that the funds would not be available until Monday. It does matter that on the fine print of my PL receipt it clearly says: "(6) Demand Feature. Accounts in default will result in immediate full acceleration of payments."

So apparently, I went into default less than 2 days after my payment was due. And.. I gave them the right to "accelerate" my payments. To add more insult, I tried talking to them today and I was told, "sorry, there is nothing they can do". I signed an agreement and so therefore I am obliged to bide by that agreement.
The only thing I have learned and I can pass on to others? Never give anyone your VISA debit card number out to companies for monthly debits. You have NO recourse. The good thing from this is now I have a purpose in life. A purpose to do everything in my power to expose this horrible company and its CEO for what they really are. They are simply greedy and evil.

Debit payments
For weeks I was bombarded by calls and emails from a sales rep to take up Preplogic's products I was reluctant because I did not have the funds I was persuaded and reassured and told that they could set up a pricing plan suitable to my budget. I finally agreed to trial their training materials on sql server 2005. I had to put down a deposit of £125.00 using my debit card to give me access to the training materials to trial. The sales rep said he will call me back in a few weeks to see how I was getting on with it and crucially to discuss a pricing plan to suit my budget. A month later a debit was attempted on my account I was alarmed and visited my bank to stop the debit. The bank said that they could not do it I was distraught.

I subsequently received an email from Preplogic saying they were unable to debit my account I emailed back that I did not agree to this and could they cancel the trial period I was told to go to the support website and submit a cancellation there which I did only to be told I could not because I had exceeded the 30 day trial period. I categorically told them that I was unable to pay the sums of money they were asking and that they cancel the order I was no longer interested.

Following this I received a call from my bank asking If I had authorised at least three payments from my account I said no they then told me that Preplogic had tried to debit up to £10000.00 from my account. This far exceeded the total sale price of $3, 015.00 (including the initial deposit which allowed me to trial the training products).
Hence the phone call from my bank as they saw this as unusual activity on my account, I said I had not sanctioned such payments and that this was fraud. It turns out that they had cleaned out my account I had over £800.00 including an overdraft and they managed to extract a further £1100.00.

My bank is dealing with this now my advice is please anyone thinking of using Preplogic don't, they refused to listen to my pleas and totally disregarded my requests. And have tried to make continuous debits from my account without my consent. There behaviour towards me has been flagrantly fraudulent.
