We just got scammed. Same deal, college boy named Ryan, home for a visit, his parents live down the street, told him to do some chores for us if we ordered magazines. We could send them to his sister in Iraq...I said not interested but my hubby felt bad and LET HIM IN!!! Ordered 2 magazines, gave him a check. Since my hubby is never home on weekends he's never been through this. Thought the kid was legit. I called the cops, cancelled the check. My husband went to look for the kid and sees him leave the neighborhood in a white van with Texas plates. We live in Florida, and his parents live down the block?? Now my husband feels like a jerk and is worried they may steal our ID or come back and rob us. I have had run in with these people a few times so now I will be the one not answering the door!!
