I definitely would not recommend Prestonwood Imaging in Plano Texas. Their office manger, a Mexican lady named Barbara, flat out lied about sending my MRI images to a doctor in San Antonio that I was to fly down and see for a hearing problem.

On 8/5/09, I had an MRI (x-ray) done at Prestonwood Imaging. They were to send the report and the images from the MRI to this doctor in San Antonio that I was to see on 8/17/09 (Monday).

I found out that they had mailed the doctor the report but not the images. On 8/13 (Thursday) I contacted the office manager, Barbara, and she said they had made a mistake by not sending the images and she would overnight them to the doctor that day on her lunch hour.

I was flying down Saturday and my appointment was Monday morning. The doctor had to receive the images before my appointment in order to have time to review them along with the report.

The next day, Friday, I called the doctor and found out they never received the images. They should have received the images by noon and it was around 3 pm. I called Barbara and she kept telling me she mailed the images on her lunch hour on Thursday. I drove over to Prestonwood Imaging to see what was going on.

Barbara showed me a receipt from the post office showing an item was overnighted but she kept the top of the receipt folded over so I could not see it and refused to make me a copy of it. Together we called the post office and gave them the tracking number. They said they had no record of this tracking number.

After much prodding from Barbara, she finally admitted she lied and she did not mail the images on Thursday as she had been saying all along. She had even promised several times she had mailed the images on Thursday. She now said that an assistant mailed the images this morning (Friday). This was why she kept the top of the receipt from the post office folded so I could not see it as it showed the mailing date of today.

When I told her I did not appreciate her lying to me about something as important as medical records, she became very confrontational as if it were her right to do as she pleased and that it was OK to lie as she saw fit. This is not just a low-level employee, but the actual office manager lying about sending something as important as medical records and trying to cover up her lying by hiding the date of the mailing receipt.

I would advise everyone to stay away from Prestonwood Imaging. If the office manager lies about sending medical records, I wonder what else is going on there.

One more thing; when I went over there to see Barbara, I didn’t stop and speak to the receptionist but just walked back to the offices where I thought I might find her. A lady led me to a door that said “Manager” on it. She opened it and Barbara and another Mexican lady were both on their respective computers, playing Solitaire.
