Do not take CDW insurance thru Priceline
I recently booked/traveled with my to Mexico. We had rented a car through Priceline and I opted for th CDW insurance instead of thru Alamo. What a mistake!! Before hand, I read the fine print but I apparently missed the reimbursement via a claim form. So, when we got to Mexico, I was told by Alamo they did not accept the insurance and if I declined their insurance and anything was damaged on the car, I would have to pay out of pocket and then be reimbursed by the insurance company. Rather than risk having to pay for a totaled car (worst case scenario) or be locked up in Mexican jail, I took the coverage through Alamo, just to be safe. No issues or damage. Upon my return I contacted Priceline via email and phone. I was told to contact the insurance carrier to see why the coverage wasn't accepted by Alamo. I admit I should have read more, but it was a miracle to find the disclaimer on Priceline's website to begin with...I suggested they tell people up front that it is a reimbursement program. In many countries, you will have to pay for any damage yourself, including if you total a vehicle, to hopefully be reimbursed by the carrier. I for one will never again use Priceline. They were about as helpful as you know what on a bull!!!

OVERPRICED!
I made a hotel reservation via Priceline, thinking I would get a reasonable. However, when I checked into the hotel, I found out the RACK RATE was lower than what Priceline charged me! When I called Priceline, they told me that unless I found the rate online AND reported it within 24hrs of booking on their site, there is nothing they will do! So much for getting the best price!

I will NEVER use their service again!

Poor customer service
I was charged twice for my hotel room and priceline said the first charge was an authorization and was not actually a charge and it would drop off in 3-5 days. It's a good thing that I had the money in the bank, because if I didn't I would have been charged a overdraft fee (I'm sure this has happen to someone). The customer service people are so rude. They don't even apoloigize for the extra charge.

STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A REFUND GOING ON 4 MONTHS
My husband and I booked a vacation with Priceline in February and due to bad weather the flight was canceled. We had to go to another airlines at the smaller airport here in Minneapolis. We paid over $1000 for a one way flight just to get out of here (we were headed to sunny California after a miserable winter). I called Frontier Airlines when I got back after not hearing anything about the refund they had promised me. When I called them in the middle of March they informed they had already sent the refund to Priceline on 3/2/11. Everytime I call Priceline they tell me they have not received the refund, bounce me around to different departments and then after 45 minutes of getting the run around they tell me they don't have the money. It is ridiculous, I just want my $258.62 back. It is a matter of principal now!!!

Misleading
Priceline you name the price option, sounds like a good idea but the problem is they name the hotel for you. If you don't read the fine print or be careful to read it, they will automatically select the hotel in the area you choose and you cannot cancel it sometimes. My problem is that the hotel could not guarantee the room selection because of the type of option I choose to purchase the room (Priceline name your price), I can only find out what I am going to get when I show up to the hotel. Priceline said nothing to help but to say I was screwed.

Priceline should be ashamed of themselves
Once my price was accepted at a hotel in Portland Oregon, I called them to request (2) double beds. They told me that there would be an additional charge of $25 per night and a 12% tax added to my bill. I called Priceline to complain about what had just occured and the gentleman placed me on hold to verify what I was telling him. Within 5 minutes he was back on the line and informed me that it was indeed true and that was the hotel's policy and nothing could be done about it. He asked me if I read the policies of Priceline and said that I had one of two choices. The first being to pay the extra monies for the two double beds or cancel my reservation and still be charged becuase Priceline does not issue refunds due to their no cancellation policy. He stated to me that the rooms accomodate (2) adults. I have no plans on sharing a bed with my grandmother, grandfather, brother, or mother-in-law. Nowhere in their policy does it state that if you request a certain bed that your price may go up. I alerted my credit card company and putting these charges into dispute for fraud and misleading information. I e-mailed customer service from Priceline and they responded to be by stating that 'We are truly unable to assist you further in this matter'. 'Please do not expect a response to further correspondence on this issue'. The people at Priceline are extremely rude and have no morals. I find it funny that once I checked their website to see if I could purchase a room at The Benson Hotel A Coast Hotel using their 'fee chop' option, out of the 137 hotels I printed this hotel was not even listed. Beware, if you need or want double beds to have a good nights sleep, you may be charged extra. Priceline should be ashamed of themselves. I am not giving up and am working with my credit card company to get out of this hotel.

Bad customer service
Shame on me for trying Priceline again..I booked hotel 3 years ago, It was horrible though listed as a Resort..it was under construction, not geared toward families, pool closed etc.. Used Priceline again without naming my price and got a very nice Hotel, though price wasn't great.. Decided to try it for Memorial Day weekend..Got the same crappy property from 3 years ago! Fine that part is my fault..the complaint I have us that when I called their robot customer service agents, I was transfered to their outsourced customer relations., the first girl cut me off and hung up on me.. I wasn't angry or rude at all..then when I called back, the second girl was ruder than the first.. They actually sent me a survey about my customer service experience, which I gave the lowest marks..BIG DEAL, this is simply their way of trying to placate me..they never followed up with me..I am disputing with my bank and will never use them again..it's such crap!!

Airline ticket
This is a serious COMPLAINT !!!

Background: I booked a ticket through Priceline on August 2, 2010 going from IAH to EWR. I got the tickets for United. Due to an emergency, I had to change my plan and I called Priceline (with United on conference) to change my schedule or cancel the ticket. They couldn't change but they agreed on cancelling the ticket (after calling 4-5 times in 3 days talking for over 2 hours each time). They also agreed on issuing refunding initially. I called in after 2 days to check on the refund, now they said money cannot be refunded. I had to argue for about 2+ hours to convince them to atleast issue me a credit. They eventually agreed on it and asked me to use to credit with a year of cancellation (i.e. till August 2011).

Present: I called Priceline today to book a trip I need to make in about 2 weeks. I wanted to use the credit, I was promised, against booking the ticket. When I spoke to Paris (YY) at the MANILA center, she told me there's NO CREDIT ISSUED TO ME. After a brief and a soft argument I was forced to speak to a supervisor, Keith (UM). I was told a credit can be given but on conditions:
1) The credit amount will only be the price of the ticket ($221.03) and not the tax ($48.75) on the ticket. (I was not informed about this when the credit was agreed.)
2) There is a $150 airline exchange fee. (Again, it was not mentioned while giving credit and no where on the site is it stated.)
3) I can book tickets only with United and no other airlines. (This was also not mentioned while giving credit and the rules on the site state "Before calling, we suggest that you review available flights and fares on our website to find your desired flights on".)

This is ridiculous. It is worst customer service I have ever experienced. The representatives did not know what they were talking. I have been mis-lead and there is so much false information.

joke
I Got on line to book a hotel on pricelin .com and the lowest bid that was up to $80.00 so I bid $87.00 and it said not high enough so I bid highter and it said not enough so I bid higher and every time I would bid higher it would say that. I was biding higher than the last bider but it sill didnt mater it still said the same thing, the cost it was to stay at the hotel in that area. so whats the point in biding if you cant get it for less than its worth, if I can call that hotel and make reservations for the same price then whats the point in using your sevices PRICELINE .COM???????????????????????????????
