Totally disgusted
Booked a "3 star" hotel in London through Priceline.com. After my bid was accepted I checked out the hotel which sounded very nice. We arrived in London, very tired and loaded with baggage. Our "3 star" hotel was virtually in a slum and was a filthy little place not close to shops, attractions or restaurants as advertised. Even the local police department suggested we not go out at night. Obviously we couldn't stay and found another hotel. Like idiots we thought when we got back to the States that Priceline would give us a partial refund. What a joke! They stick by their rating system and won't even discuss a refund. I'm totally disgusted with them and my economical little vacation cost me as much as it would have if I had stayed in a luxury hotel.

No cust. service
No matter if its their fault and you didn't get what you were lead to believe, Priceline.com customer service insists there is nothing they can do. No changes, no refunds, no nothing. Your bid was accepted, your money is gone and you're screwed. Three calls to customer service later, nothing has changed. Now you're told your case is closed but you can always write headquarters. Thank you, we're sorry, see ya!

Fraud
I went to their website to search what hotels were possible in a certain area & somehow ended up with a non-refundable reservation I NEVER made in a hotel I would NEVER stay in.
Priceline's customer service only exists to tell you they have no intention of satisfying the customer & that it is your hard luck if you get screwed.
I have never seen a business survive that not only does not encourage customer satisfaction, but condemns it.
I want my money back or my credit card reimbused, but how do they get away with absolute fraud?

Overcharged
After many years of using priceline.com and bidding on hotels I have never been so upset. I have never had a problem till a couple days ago. They charged me twice for a reservation...after contacting them they told me I have to contact bank because they only have 1 charge in there system, I contacted my bank and they told me there is 2 charges and that priceline needs to fix it. I called them again and this time they told me that I have an authorization charge on my card that will be dropped within 48hours. Mind you I have never encountered this issue. It has been more than 3 days and the charge is still there! They are extremely unhelpful and all they could tell me is that they only have 1 charge in there system... I don't recommend this to anyone, its better that you spend the extra 40 for a hotel room that go through this headache. Now I am forced to contact an attorney...

Horrible customer service
On Sept 17th around 12:30 I went online to book a room with priceline, I need 1 night in Towson, MD. They had a Ramada Inn for $69 I figured its a Ramada they say 2+ stars so I booked it. Afterwards I went to the hotels website to find they rate themselves a 1 star hotel and have unbelievably bad reviews on there own site. People who have stayed there in the last 30 days who have had breaking and entering occur, and a huge bed bug problem where a woman had to go to the hospital. So 1 hour after booking I began my quest to cancel reservation that would not be in play for 1 month from now...I spent several hours on the phone with several priceline reps and have sent 6 plus emails to customer service who tell me sorry your beat. No offer to book in another hotel, no apology, nothing - just sorry your beat...??? I called the hotel and they said sure you can cancel. i told priceline and they say i never spoke to the person whom i gave them the name for?
customer service i dont think so...

Online fraud
I purchased a tkt with the travel cancellation insurance to go see my grandmother who was ill in Europe. I had to anticipate the departure date as her condition was getting worse but priceline's difference in price for the new date was like purchasing a new ticket. So I bought a new ticket through another agent thinking I would get reimbursed for the first since I had travel insurance. My grandmother passed, and even though "death" was a valid enough reason for cancellation and they had the death certificate and everything, Priceline refused to reimburse because my grandmother was not an American citizen They told me I would have credit to use on a future flight by October 24th, but when the time came to rebook (October 13th) they told me my credit had expired in June. So, you're looking for a reliable agent, use somebody else unless you want to throw $850 away.

Unauthorized billing
Purchased package from Priceline for $437.30, flight, hotel and rental car. Had to cancel and rebook. After spending some time searching for some way to contact them and talk to a human being, finally succeeded and was told no problem as long as booked another package but would probably be a $50.00 cancellation fee. Rebooked for $597.25 the next day. After e-mailing numerous times and spending several hours on the computer finally got a number for customer service. Called and yes the cancellation fee for the $437.30 package was $152.51! I will never use Priceline again!

Awful company
I will NEVER use Priceline again and I'm telling all my friends and family to never use Priceline. I recently booked for the first time with Priceline, hotel, flight, and rental. I found that I had booked the wrong hotel and immediately, within 15 to 20 minutes, contacted their office. All I wanted was to switch hotels, that was all I wanted to change. Nope, can't do it. Sorry.
Spent 4 hours on the phone trying to convince someone that I only wanted to change the hotel. They still wouldn't do it. I'm now stuck with paying for two hotel rooms. It won't happen again. Nagotiator my eye!
If they had wanted to keep me as a customer, all they had to do was change hotel rooms, that's all.

Priceline Customer Service is an Oxymoron
We booked a hotel room through Priceline for our family, and requested 2 beds, but got a standard room with 1 king sized bed instead. Some how in the booking process Priceline swapped what we asked for. We didn't know this at first, but found this out when I called to complain that the "discounted" "name your own rate" price was actually *more* than the hotels own web-site showed! I called to complain about the price only to find out that my kids would have to sleep on the floor, because the room PL gave us only had a king sized bed. The customer service person at PL could have cared a less. She said that the contract clearly showed that we had purchased a standard room. But my eyes clearly remembered that we had booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. After spending 45 minutes of the CS rep saying the same thing over and over and over again I finally gave up. I kept saying a standard room won't accomodate our family and our kids will have to sleep on the floor. She kept saying I didn't say your kids would have to sleep on the floor. I said you know that means four people in one bed. She said that is what you ordered. I said no I ordered 2 beds at a discounted price and got 1 bed at a price that is higher than the hotel charges, and round and round and round she went... I said the reason I'm calling customer service is to try to remedy a problem, not to be read the contract. But she never tried to rectify the situation. PL customer service people have no power to change anything. It's not really their fault. Once I realized this I gave up. Priceline is truely a sorry outfit. I called my Credit Union and they gave me the steps to dispute the charges. I will NEVER USE PRICELINE AGAIN! I've used Hotwire at least 20 times a year with about 90% satisfaction. On those occassions when there is a problem, the customer service reps eventually fix the problem; even when the problem is the hotel's. Don't be clotheslined by priceline.
