wouldn't let me cxl hotel room
I booked a room thru priceline and tried to cxl within the day and they would not let me cxl it and charged me for a room I couldn't use due to major car problems. although it states no cxl fees they charged me anyway... a real scam artist. I did not bid either, it was just a regular booking, they claim that they have to pass on what motel policy is and so I called the motel and they only charge for one day, not five $174. plus $67 cxl fee.Talked with supv. and got nowhere!!!WHAT A BUNCH OF THIEVES!!! I had a $2400 car repair due to overheating, and these charges (priceline)are ridiculous! They like kick you when you're down and laugh all the way to the bank. I am a sr citizen and am damn of being taken advantage of!!! YES, NO ONE DEALS LIKE THEY DO!!! TURN YOUR FANTASY INTO A NIGHTMARE!!!
THIS IS COPIED AND PASTED FROM THEIR SO CALLED CONTRACT..NOTICE ELIMINATED ALL PRICELINE CANCELLATION AND CHARGE FEES!
In the face of high travel prices, booking fees must be destroyed!
That's why the Negotiator has eliminated all priceline cancellation and change fees on every published-price airline ticket, hotel room, rental car, cruise and vacation package where changes or cancellations are allowed. Please note that while we won't charge you change or cancel fees, our hotel partners may impose change or cancel fees that we are required to pass along to you. Typically, these fees are greatest when cancelling within 24-48 hours of your date of stay.
But the fee chops don't stop there.
We're also working hard to keep priceline's hotel booking fees lower than Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, and even Hotels.com. Lower fees means lower prices on the hotels you want. So before you book your hotel anywhere else, be sure to check the bottom-line price which includes the lower booking fees.
Your satisfaction is his obsession. OH REALLY HIS OBSESSION IS TO SCREW YOU OVER!!!
If, within 24 hours of making your Name Your Own Price® or Priceline Published Price hotel booking (applies to any published price hotel marked with our best price guarantee), you find a better publicly available price, excluding taxes and fees, on another Web site for the same hotel and dates, call us at 1-800-774-2354 (U.S. or Canada) or 1-212-444-0022 (from anywhere else). If you qualify, we'll refund 100% of the difference and, for customers with U.S. billing a

priceline committing fraud
Booked a hotel reservation 1 week in advance. Called to cancel the reservation 3 days before the reserved date and was told that my credit card had been irreversibly charged. Customer service refused to explain why they couldn't refund my account and continually cited the contract agreement. I believe that priceline is committing fraud against hardworking individuals and this should be stopped.

Deceptive practises
I booked round trip airline tickets with priceline and was prompted to "save even more on car rentals" So I also reserved a car. 3 days later, still 2 weeks before my departure, I learned that I could have rented a car from a major car rental (Enterprise) for over $150 less. I called Priceline to cancel the car reservation and was told that's it's not possible. I even called the VP and CEO's office and was told the same thing. Furthermore, upon scrutinizing the e-mail confirmation from Priceline I see that they've put me down for a full sized car when I only requested a compact.
While using Priceline's bidding option. I received multiple messages such as "Bid too low" and "enter a higher bid." leading me to believe that I honestly could not find a car rental in Little Rock for less. In my opinion, this is no different from shill bidding, which is a dubious practice that might not even be legal.

Car rental company wouldn't honor price
Booked car rental at O'Hare through priceline. Alamo wouldn't honor reservation without me paying additional $56 in tax despite confirmation that included all taxes and fees. I wouldn't pay additional fee and even though Alamo manager agreed to cancel transaction on the phone with Priceline (documented in their incident notes)
Priceline refused to cancel transaction and is attempting to charge me for a car that I never got because the price they confirmed would not be honored by Alamo. Alamo told me that this had happened to as number of Priceline customers recently. Priceline still refuses to cancel they transaction that they renegged on!

Change of flight dates
I booked a flight with Priceline travelling from Aug. 25-29, 2010. On the itinerary they sent me they changed the departure date from what I requested to a day earlier. I detected this discrepancy on the departure date that I was given of Aug. 24, 2010. I relaized too late and missed the flight.
I called their customer service number 1-800-774-2354 and when the woman finally came online and asked me for my information she kept on saying “Hello, hello, I can’t hear you. Sorry but I am going to have to end this call since I am unable to hear you”. Then she put down the phone.
I then called another customer service number that I got from a website site and was able to speak to someone. He said there is nothing that can be done since the date I selected for departure was the date they had given me which I know is not the case.
I cannot get a refund for my flight.
I will never use Priceline again and I will strongly advise anyone considering using it not to.

Violates hotel refund policies
I booked a hotel room through priceline.com at normal hotel rates with Omni hotels worldwide. I canceled the reservation within the window that Omni offers a full refund. Priceline stated that their policy is to issue no refund to the customer regardless of what Omni Hotel refund policy are. In other words they decide to keep you money and you have no recourse. They even refused to deal with my credit card company on this. PRICELINE COMPANY ARE SIMPLE THIEVES WHO STEAL MONEY AND DO NOT CARE WHO YOU COMPLAIN TO. PRICELINE SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED BY ALL BUSINESS TRAVELERS.

Poor policy
I recently booked a hotel through priceline. I had to leave early due to a funeral and the hotel assured me that I would get a refund.
The hotel informed me at checkout that they only charged priceline.com for the nights that I stayed at the hotel. When I called priceline, they admitted that the hotel was correct, but they would not refund my money because it was their "company policy to issue no refunds."
I know now that they put this in fine print on their site, but I think it is unethical and a bad business policy to keep the $120 that I feel they owe me. Especially when they very obviously tried to prevent me from seeing this information. After all they don't tell us about that on the commercials.
In an economy like this one, can we really afford to give our business to a company that won't assure us that their service is an outstanding one?

Bad customer service
Priceline pre-authorized my debit card three times for what should have been one large purchase - this resulted in my bank account being overdrawn and having no access to any of my funds. I was told that I could not speak to a supervisor (they don't have any?) nor could I be transferred to someone else without giving out my bank information. I was told there was nothing that could be done to resolve the situation other than waiting up to 10 days for the funds to be released. When I called my bank, the only way they could release the funds was for Priceline to call them...which they told me they could not do (they needed my bank to call). I spoke to two different representatives (which required two separate phone calls) and was on hold for a total of around an hour (multiple times for a couple of minutes each), only to get no resolution whatsoever.
