Buyers beware of Pricline
I would like to warn ereryone against using priceline for hotel reservations. They are unwavering in the fact that they will not allow you to cancel or change reservations for any reason once made. I booked a 3 day hotel reservation through Priceline and 2 hours later discovered that I had accidently reserved the wrong weekend. Despite numerous calls to what they refer to as "customer support" (yea right), I was repeatly told that I could not change the dates of my reservations or cancel without paying the full price. My requests to discuss the matter with someone in management were ignored. I ended up going through the hotel chains website to make reservations for the correct dates. To add insult to injury the identical room at the same hotel was ten dollars less than the priceline charge and I was allowed to cancel up to 24 hours from check-in. Thanks to Priceline I ended up paying more, and for a room that I never used. Stay away from Priceline they are a total ripoff!!!

hotel reservation
Hi Sir/ Maddamme I desperately need your help/suggestion.
My daughter was browsing the website of Priceline.com for hotel accomodation. After browsing so many choices of hotel she decided to make a reservaion but there is a section " Name Your Own Price" means an individual can make a bid, including the hotel rating and the location of hotel. My daughter made a bid $100, place the location on Daytonal Beach and the chosen rating 3.5 star. Then my daughter placed my initial on the box indicated and clicked on " Buy my Hotel Room " In minutes my daughter received a confirmation from Priceline that her offer was approved with Hilton Daytonal Beach / Ocean Walk Village and her request was upgraded to 4 star without a choice of her special request.
My daughter phoned the Hotel to find out what is included in her reservation. She was given a King size bed, no parking on the site; she has to either self park for $10daily or Valet Parking for $17 daily. She told the hotel that it is not a suitable room due to the fact that my self, my husband and her other sibling is travelling with us and willing to downgrade the hotel rating to at least 3.5 or 3 star to accommodate our needs; two double /queen beds, kitchen/kitchenette, parking on site, non smoking. Hilton said know changes or cancellation based on their Terms of Condition of Priceline. The other choices of hotel even cost less than $100.
My daughter phoned Priceline to make changes and was told the same with no success.
Sir/Madamme, is there any way of helping me to make changes or possibly cancel my reservation with Priceline/Hilton Daytona Beach/ Ocean Walk Village.

Do not take CDW for car rental
I recently booked/traveled to Mexico with my family, where we rented a car thru Priceline. I took the CDW insurance at $11 per day over the CDW through Alamo due to better pricing. Imagine my surprise when I got to Mexico and was told they did not accept the coverage and if I declined their insurance and anything happened to the car, I would have to pay out of pocket, and then request a reimbursement through the carrier. I opted to take the coverage in Mexico since I couldn't afford to replace a car if I totaled it and I did not feel like spending any time in a Mexican jail (if something happened and I couldn't pay). Upon my return I contacted Priceline via email and phone. Their response, call the insurance carrier to see why Alamo in Mexico would not accept their coverage.

I read the fine print on the disclaimer prior to booking, but I apparently missed the details that it was a reimbursement. In truth, I was lucky to have found the disclaimer on Priceline's busy web page.

Priceline's response was poor, in my opinion, since their website doesn't tell unsuspecting travelers the program is a reimbursement not simply coverage paid to the rental company. Some people might be able to cover minor mishaps, but what about those who cannot or those who have more than a mishap, ie, a totaled out vehicle??? Who can afford to replace a rental car ($1000's) to then file a claim and hope for reimbursement??? More disclosure on the website is needed. I plan to travel again but I will never again use Priceline. Their customer service response was downright horrible.

I may still complain to my state's attorney general or banking & insurance. Anynoe else who has had this problem might want to do the same.

Exorbitant Fees and Fares
I booked a flight through Priceline.com but had to cancel the flight a week prior to departure. They informed me I could keep the reservation for 12 months but they would charge 50% fees for cancellation plus a $30 fee. I went to use the remaining value for a new reservation. They would not let me use an airline with cheaper fares. Instead tried to charge me for the same airline which was twice the cost so that with the balance of my reservation I would still be paying $100 more than the fare I found. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they said he was on another call but would call me back. He never did so.

Misleading Booking Process
I recently booked a weekend hotel in New York City through Priceline.com

When I started the process, I specifically selected 2 Adults (18+), 1 Child (2-17). Priceline gave me a bunch of options and after selecting one, I completed the process under the assumption that Priceline was accommodating my request of 2 Adults and 1 Child. When I called the hotel to confirm my booking, I was told that I now need to pay extra for the Child, as much as $75 more per night. Of course their contract states that the room can accommodate 2 Adults (18+) but makes no mention of the accommodation for the Child.

I find this incredibly misleading as my original request was to have a room that accommodated 2 adults and a child. Priceline has a no refund policy, and was unwilling to help me in any way. I even called up to their 'Customer Relations' department who wouldn't help me.

I learned my lesson to never deal with Priceline.com as they are a horribly company to do business with.

I suggest nobody ever deals with priceline.com

Hotel Reservation
We booked a stay through Priceline for a one night stay in a standard king sized room at the New Orleans Sheraton the night of June 25th, 2011. We arrived to check in at the Sheraton and were told by the hotel that they could not accommodate us in the desired and paid for reservation. We declined a room asking for a refund. They told us to call priceline as they did not charge the credit card. We attempted to call Priceline and after three separate phone conversations were refused a refund, each time the Priceline rep insisted it was not their fault and they would not give a refund. Each time we talked to Priceline, we were lied to when their reps claimed that Sheraton had charged our credit card. We contacted our bank found out that Priceline was indeed the originator of the card and must file for the refund. We are currently disputing the charge. At the current time, we are out the money and had a tremendous amount of difficulty trying to get a refund.

I highly discourage anyone from using Priceline's service.

Scam-no service provided
Priceline.com is a SCAM, pure and simple. I put a bid in on a room through Priceline.com. The bid was accepted. I arrived at the hotel. The room was not available. When I called Priceline.com, they promised to find me another room. They lied. I then said I'd find a room and give them the info to pay for it. Priceline.com said they'd pay. Priceline.com lied, claiming that they couldn't "see" availability at the hotel I was at (even though I was standing at the reservation desk).

false advertising
They tried to rip me off, but i won. Just call your credit card company. They will gladly refund you because they see this happen all the time.

reservation of hotel confirmed but not done
I'm very very disappointed for the entire service by priceline. Infact I must say I didnt receive service from you. I had book hotel in chicago and got the confirmation through email 1 month before but to my shock after reaching the hotel I get to know that I have no reservation after calling a customer service and waiting for more than an hour on phone still there is no confirmation from your end to the hotel. Priceline holds no regret inspite of not providing service. Pathetic service would recommend people not to use Priceline. I was waiting outside the hotel more than 3 hours.
