First call to the company was 8:02am 12/23/06, and called every hour after that, to leave messages with the answering service. This was for a Hot Water Heater that broke. Water all over, and not stopping... At 6:30 pm, the service plugged me into someone at the Pride company named Cynthia, who proceeded to call me a liar....and refused to send anyone out within a half hour. 40 minutes later a tech called me to say he would be here in an hour.
That would be around 8:30 Christmas Eve, and I told him to forget it. At 11pm I had someone attach a hose to the hot water heater, to drain what was left in the heater... and at 7:42 am Pride called me, and sent a tech out to assess the situation. This is not pretty.
The Hot Water Heater was pulled out, there was a small leak in the A/C drain pipe, so he put a bucket under it, AND there was a broken water pipe, in the wall, that has caused damage to my apartment and the two below me.
The pipe in the wall was repaired, leaving me with a hole in the wall, in the bedroom, and two closets.
I have NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL from Pride, NEVER. The only way I knew about any appointments was to call them, only to find out that they were going to install the water heater BEFORE fixing the A/C... that seemed backward to me.
All installations/repairs were scheduled as follows:
A/C 12/29 between 8 and 1
HWH 12/30 between 1 and 5
A/C was done, in 10-15 minutes, and no comments.
The next day, the HWH installation was NOT DONE, because the tech said, that the A/C drain was not to "code".
I have been living with no hot water for 8 days, and not one call from the company which is under contract, for these sort of problems, I am sending a copy of this to the attorney general of the state of florida.
Today is 1 January 2007, and I am aware of Holidays, but this is an emergency.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Miller
