I saw an advertisement that gave a promotion code to get 100 free bids from PriceShuffle.com
In the advertisement it also said it is free to sign-on to the site. So, I registered and was asked to fill the promotion code. I continued with the process but was stopped after I put in my delivery information, I was reluctant to give my credit card information. It seems that I could not get to register unless I put in my credit card information, I did not suspect of any fraud then.
I got into my account and it shows 100 bids in there, I tried and used some bids and decided it is not for me. I notified Priceshuffle to close my account. I got a hostile e-mail back stating I am not allowed to go back to my account anymore. I didn't care, because I decided not to waste my time on the time consuming auction.
So far, I had no idea my credit card was charged with 149.75. I did not get any call or e-mail from priceshuffle about the charge. Almost a month later, I was paying my credit card online on 12/1/10 and found out about the charge. I called my credit card company and let them know that is a fraudulent charge and they would investigate. However, my credit card company stated that the company has provided the document in supporting their legality, and asked me to provide some document also, I do not have any, I registered online, I knew I did not order any package.
I then e-mailed the priceshuffle.com and request for a refund back. So far no result. I plan to report to BBB and Attorney General and all the online complaint forum.
Do not sign up with PriceShuffle.com, it is a scam.
