For several months, I've been telemarketing calls that begin with a automated greeting instructing to "Press 1 for your last chance to obtain lower rates on your credit cards or press 2 to be removed from the list."

I pressed 2 to be removed from the list on the first 5 calls I received from this telemarketer. This action was obviously not effective in removing my number from the ist. After receiving the sixth annoying call, I decided to press 1 to speak to a representative. I began asking about the company the company and how they obtained my phone number. The representative hung-up on me!

I received the seventh call less than a week later, and pressed 1 to speak to a representative. This time, I actually made her believe I was interested in engaging them in lowering my credit card interest rate. I told her I had been disconnected the last time I spoke with a representative, and would like to have a number to phone them on in case we were disconnected. She provided the number shown above for Priority Direct Marketing Intl. Inc. I then terminated the call.

Since then, I've received two more calls from them in the past week - despite the fact I'm on a do not call list and have pressed 2 to be removed from their call list seven times now. The telemarketing rep hung-up on me again on the seventh call.

I contacted Priority Direct Marketing directly - requesting them to remove me my number from the list. They admitted that they contract with third party telemarketing services to place the outbound calls, but have no control over who they call; whether they respect "do not call lists", and that there is nothing they can do about the continuous calls to my office number unless I can tell them which call center or service is making the calls. This is virtually impossible if the Telemarketing Rep abruptly hangs up on you the second you ask the question.

There are a number of complaints logged on Priority Direct Marketing on both Complaintsboard.com and Ripoffreport.com. The fact they claim to have NO control over the Telemarketers with whom they contract to find new customers is very suspicious. I question the legitimacy of this company and their telemarketing tactics. Beware.
