Tried to STEAL MY MONEY!
They charged my card 29.95. Which in turn put me on overdraft and there were additional charges through my bank. I had to cancel my card and get a refund. Then they provided the bank with "proof" that I ordered their service. These people will truly go to extreme lengths! When my bank looked into the claim they had not provided any shipping info or proof of email. It said I had called in to place the order! This company is a crock of bull. Stay on your bank and inform them they are fraud. They will submit a claim back to the bank saying you ordered it. LYERS! You bank may in turn give them the money and take it back from you. Luckily this is what my bank did...but when I called them back they agreed when looking further into it this company is malicious and a fraud!!!

monthly billing
They have been charging me 19.95 a month since January and won't credit me the charges. I finaly got it cancled. Said it was thru a survey on classmates.com which I no longer go on because they are getting sued for just this kind of thing. I want my money back from these people as I have NEVER heard of privacymatters123 nor did I EVER sign up and give them my card information. From the other complaints I am seeing we need a class action lawsuit to retreve our money.

Privacy Matters 123
My 14 year old son ordered from a TV Commercial, received the product he ordered along with additional monthly subscriptions at $19.95 per month from Privacy Matters 123, an identity theft company. What a joke. They are the one's who are stealing money from a debit account!
They called shortly after his product was ordered, never confirmed his age, and coerced him to sign up for their service.
I had to threaten them to have the service terminated and have all monies refunded. They said they would return all funds except the $1.00 account set up charge, that was definitely not refundable. Are these people for real. They are an IDENTITY THEFT company????!!!??? I am awaiting the refund that somehow takes 3 to 5 business days. How is it they took our money in a matter of minutes?

Theft
Initially I was interested in their services to track down the identity of a caller. After signing up and realizing there were strings attached, I called to cancel. My cancellation was confirmed by the lady on the phone, however, I've been charged for the last 4 months! I called today and their employee said they were never notified of my cancellation. This is a complete scam...they make their money by continuing to charge people who have already cancelled.

unauthorized charges to my credit card
I travel almost every day - I was home 2 weeks in 2009. One of my credit cards was comprimised and the fraud department called me to ask if I had made these charges as I had not used the card for over a year. Upon finding out about that card I pulled up all the statements on my other major credit card to have a look see. I have someone at my home that opens my mail and tells me what I owe. I really don't ever see the statement. Well all I could see online was 12 months that Privacy Matters had been charging me $23.95. Turns out they had been charging me 18 months = over $400.00 because I had "clicked on a link" in classmates.com. This should not be allowed to happen - this is fraud!

Unauthorized Charge
They sent me a bill in the mail that "Upcoming Charge For Membership Renewal". I never joined or authorized the automatic payment from my credit card. I want a refund of any and all monies that I may have paid them and I want my name and personal injformation purged from all of their files and records. The Federal Goverment needs to also check and see if there was not fraud by mail in this case.
