I had an unauthorized debit for $19.95. This was supposed to be for credit report access. I never authorized this debit or signed up for any service. I called 888-239-0316, spoke to Tamica. She said she would have the charge reversed and credited to my account. They would not pay for transfer charges from my line-of credit. My account was actually dormant with no funds in the account. I have no idea how they had my account number. This is scary. Other complaints on this site indicated People Finder was responsible for supplying the number. This could be the case. A long time ago, I did use this service. This must be stopped. Beware...

I JST CHECKED MY BANK AND CHECKED ALL THE TRANSACTIONS FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF MNTHS AND I SAW THAT THE FREE CREDIT REPORT WHICH IS PRIVACY MATTERS 123 TOOK OUT 29.95 TWICE ON FEB.20.2010 WHICH I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I ONLY PAID $1.00 FIRST THEY TOOK OUT $1.00 TWICE AT FIRST THEN TOOK OUT 29.95 TWICE THEN THIS MNTH OF MAY THEY TOOK OUT 59.90 TWICE AT THESAME DAY AGAIN.GOOD THING I CHECKED OR ELSE IT WOULD BE VERY EMBARASSING ON MY PART USING MY CARD PAYING A BILL OR AT THE RESTAURANT!!! I AM VERY UPSET BECAUSE I ONLY THOUGHT I ONLY PAID $1.00 JST TO CHECK MY CREDIT SCORE WHEN I DIDNT EVEN SEE IT!!! AND I HAVE PAID MORE THAN I HAVE GOTTEN!!! I WANT MY REFUND AND FOR ALL THE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THIS COMPANY I DNT EVEN KNW WHY THEY ARE STILL RUNNING...AND RIPPIN PEOPLE OFF!!! THIS IS SO WRONG SPECIALLY THIS DAYS THAT WE HAVE TO TIGHTEN OUR BELTS AND THIS COMPANY JST END UP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE JST CUZ THEY CAN...

Last month I was reviewing my online bank statement and noticed an unauthorized debit withdrawal from my account from Privacy Matters 123. I called my bank and informed them of this and they went right to work. While on the line with them, I saw that the unauthorized withdrawals dated back to November 2009. Well, now my "membership" with Privacy Matters 123 is cancelled. But something has to be done to companies like this for doing these illegal transactions. I hope one day I tune in to the news and hear that this company is under federal investigation and that all businesses with tis company is halted.

I was checking my online credit card charges for my credit card and noticed a charge which I had not authorized. I called the number listed besides the charge. I got a teleprompter asking for either the credit card number used, the account number, or my telephone number. I entered my telephone number in, and was told there was no record of an account with that phone number. There was a number also listed by the company name on the credit card charge, so I entered that in and it was the account number. I immediately got their customer service rep on the line, I told her I had never heard of them before, and that I wanted to be refunded and have whatever kind of account this was canceled. I was transferred to a "supervisor" who told me I had set this account up through my telephone company in November. I told her I certainly had not, and that I would be filing charges against them as this was fraud. This "supervisor" then started arguing that I had set up this account, at which time I had to tell her to quit arguing, that I knew what I had and had not done, and this was fraud and I would be contacting the credit card company and would pursue charges against them. At this point this "supervisor" hung up on me. When I contacted the credit card fraud devision, the rep looked back over the last 3 months and seen that I have been charged each month, and canceled my card number and will be investigating to have this prosecuted. I also took the further step to call my phone company who shows no record of a 3rd party biller to my account with them. So not only is this company fraudulent thieves, their liars as well. What's ironic in all of this is that apparently this company is suppose to "protect against identity theft" and their thieves themselves!

Privacy Matters 123 have been debiting 19.95 from my account and I NEVER authorized these charges nor have I signed up for membership. I want to be reimbursed for any unauthorized charges and my membership canceled immediately or I WILL seek legal coucil. Privacy Matters 123 are nothing but SCAM artists.
