Charged close to fifty dollars on my credit card...I don't know how they got my account number..

I cancelled, but now I have to try to get reimbursed.

Who is watching these companies?

privacy matters 123 goes on the assumption that you will not check your credit card statement for a small amount. then you have to go through the hassle of trying to get your money back i tried their 30 day free trial. i then contacted before the 30 days and told them to cancel my account. the service rep tried to talk me into staying and even offered me a lower rate per month $9.95. i said no. he then said my account was canceled and i could still check my account before the 30 days expired. which i did not do. later in the week, i then saw on my credit card statement a charge by them for the next month. i immediately called them told i had canceled before the 30 days. they apologized and said my credit card was now taken out of the system, that they would credit my account. a week later my account still wasn't credited. i called up only to get the run around by recorded messages. in which i was told by one recorded statement that my account was not closed and to close it say close account. i did that and then i had to contact my bank to file a refund claim. which they did. for a credit reporting company to do this is unbelievable, and their lack of business ethics surprising. i know it's a small amount, but what gives them the right to rip you off

The phone # online is to a completely different business. I finally navagated their website & hopefully was able to cancel.

This online company is a complete rip-off. Their advertising states "Free" credit scores from all three (3) reporting agencies. However, when you try to get that "free" score, you are led through a maze of registration pages, links, dead-ends, trick questions, et al. The end result is that you NEVER DO get that "free" credit score! AND, you end up with additional, unauthorized charges on your credit card!!

i was checking my bank accout online and found two charges debited from my account. I had never heard anything bout this company nor did i authorize them to debit my account, i called and spoke with three different people and none of them could tell me how my account was charged because they did not hav any record of me having an account . And the drafts caused me to have overdraft charges of 50.00 dollars they told me that i would have to send them more paperwork from my bank and then it would take up to 2 weeks to get my money back.
