I recently tried there 7 day trial credit report/credit watch in which they charged me 1$ for a 7 day trial with options to quit or cancel at any time with no further charges, so i viewed my report and canceled that same day with success or so I thought. so about 10 days later I checked my credit card statement and seen a $19.95 charge to Privacymatters123.com. so I AGAIN called the same system but this time talking to a sales rep that told me they could not refund trial charges, I told them this was not a trial charge is was a monthly charge that I had canceled 10 days ago, they argued with me for 15 min till i spoke with the supervisor that finally refunded my money. when I signed up for classmates.com i didn't realise I was also agreeing to have privacymatters withdraw $24.99 from my checking account twice a month and so far because of it I have accrued over $450.00 in overdraft and other bank fees because of it and am completely broke now. When I got the phone # for privacy matters from my bank I couldn't get therough to talk to a person at the company without a member login # or my debit card #. Since I did not know I was a member and therefore had no member # I had to use my debit card # just to talk to a representative of the company. As soon as I had a supervisor on the phone I was told I had unsubscribed earlier in the day, did I? Not that I knew of since I didn't even realise I was a member. This was on Friday 10/23/09 and it is now Monday. They said they will refund my two charges of 24.99 from last week but not the charges from September and none of my overdraft fees which the bank says Privacy matters is responsible for paying me. My bank says I need a fax # to fax privacy matters proof of the overdraft fees but I can no longer contact the company since I am not a member. I signed up for classmates.com NOT privacy matters and now am in dire financial straights because of this fraud.

I am having problems with this company also. They promissed a free credit report for a one time fee of $1 and that I could cancel membership within 7 days to avoid the $20 mothly fee. Okay, that sounded legitimate, so I continued. I gave them my information, submitted it, and never got a confirmation email. I didnt know I joint the membership since not email recieved and no report recieved. I forgot all about it until I see the charge apeared to my credicard report 6 months in a row before I caught it and they refuse to refund me.

I want to cancel my trial membership but no phone number or method of cancellation was given to me. I did not receive my free credit score, which cost me $1.00.
