Scam/ unclear charges
The billing process in unclear and I was charged for much more than I wanted. Getting out of this billing cycle is difficult. Customer services is extremely rude.

didn't order but have been charged
I ordered Proactiv online because I saw advertising on TV that it is only about $19-20 for 3 steps acne treatment. However, i ended up ordered about $30 something bucks because i decided to get an extra item. On my proactive account stated that my shipment frequent is 90 days or (3 months). At first I expected that I receive same package in every 3 months but I was surprised within 20 days. They billed me $60 something dollars so I called them why I was charged for the product again when its not 90 days yet. They explained confusingly that it is 90 days supply. I still do not understand what that is so I asked to cancelled any further shipment, the customer service said i will not receive or charge for any further shipment. And if I return, i will get refund for the product price. Once I received the 2 package that they charged me, I decided to keep them because I dont want to pay for extra shipping fee that I have to ship it back. I thought I had a peace of mind because of the called i made ealier. However, about a month later, I am charged again at $29.95 and they said I will be charged again next month for $29.95 because I didn't return it the ptoduct. This is shady and seem like fraud to me because I didn't sign up for monthly payment unless they tricked me while I ordering it the first time.

Card Charged twice
In Apr-28 2011 I ordered proactiv kit, my card was charged $ 69.99 in May-02 for this order, today I received my bank monthly statement and for my surprise I found that my card was charged again $ 69.99 in May-04

I didn't order a second kit. Buyers beware.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

Unauthorized charge!!
I had tried proactiv as I had a flare up of acne for a few months, needless to sya it did not work.. So i never bothered to reorder.. to my surprise i got charge with a second order, no notification and am now expected to pay shipping and handling for both ways if i was to return the product!! I have sent numerous emails complaining and stating what I was, and one would think that $15 would not be a big thing to resolve but its been hell! I get the same script, irrelevant to my email as a reply. I have recently emailed head office about their customer service, so i will see what comes out of it.

Fraudulent Credit Card charges
ProActiv continued to charge my credit card after cancelling product.
The company is unwilling to refund charges and Francine actually informed me that I needed to dispute their unauthorized monthly charges with my bank. I reported this activity to my credit card company as FRAUDULENT credit card charges by this company!!

charged twice
I ordered the proactiv 3 step system and paid 19.95, however, I was charged again a few months later in the amount of 27.94. I did not purchase anything, so I don't know why I was charged.

Unwilling to fix their mistake
I ordered Proactiv for my roommate who did not have a debit card. I received her first box and it did not work for her. I received an unwanted second box. Because I never signed up for receiving more than that first box, I did not know I had a 60 day money back guarantee. Working 3 jobs and with being out of state and including the havoc of the winter season/holidays I did not call to inquire for a while. When I did call I was told to return my box and I would not have to pay the $67.84. I did that. I kept receiving bills but ignored them because I knew the issue was taken care of. I opened a bill today and called because I should not still be receving these.

I am now told that if I don't pay and they have to send me 2 more statements I will be sent to a collection agency. They did not receive my returned proactiv, and the call they saw they received from me was late December, so even if they do receive it I returned it past my "60 day guaruntee." I do not have $70 to spare. Nor do I care to reduce my credit score when I work 3 jobs just to pay my other bills on time. Their lack of communication (not telling me to get a confirmation/proof of mailing) AND unauthorized billing is really stressing me out and the customer service I received was NOT about helping my situation but about proactiv receiving their money.

Help!

Product is more then what they say
I have nothing good to say about Proactiv, nor their business practices. I bought a 30-day trial for $32.57. I felt safe to try it because on their site it says you can cancel if not satisfied. My daughter started to use it and she had little results.

On 2/08 I notice that my credit card was charged $48.68 from Proactiv! I called them because I did want their product especially for that price. They told me that it was to late ...to stop the shipment even though they charged my account that morning. I told them I felt that their business practices was misleading and I would never buy their products again and to stop all future orders. A week later I received their product and kept it because I did not want to deal with their horrible customer service or wait on the phone for a long time. I was lead to believe that was my final charge. On 3/10 I noticed another charge of $29.95. I called them to complain that they charged my account for a third time. I found out that the last shipment was not $48.00 as i was lead to believe but $108.00 and that they were going to charge me again for my last installments.

I writing you because I want everyone to know what a scam proactiv has going. I do not want anyone to fall into their trap like i did. Their product is not that great and they are not clear on the prices they charge. Also, their first trial shipment came in half size bottles. If anyone is reading this, save your money and head to the department store for your facial cleanser, better yet go to your dermatologist. STAY AWAY PROACTIV!!! Please share this message.

Misleading billing practice
This company's website and billing is extremely misleading or cannot be trusted. I ordered the Proactiv 3-Step System for my son for $19.95. Without my consent for reordering, additional shipment and bigger bills just continue to arrive. I finally wrote to them to request that they stop shipment and billing me for products I did not order. The products stopping arriving, but bills continue to arrive for the next two months. I had to called my bank to reverse those charges.

deceptive trade practices
Ordered promotional $19.95 (free shipping) Proactiv after viewing TV ad. Provided credit card information to make payment in January/2011; received this order within a few days ... this should have been the end of this order/payment transaction. Then the nightmare began ... February 25th I received a box containing an invoice for $67.84, along with more Proactiv that "I didn't order, nor did they have any authorization to charge my bank debit card on February 15th $27.94" ($19.95 plus shipping/handling), being 1 of 3 payments on this Proactiv "that I didn't order, " with the invoice also showing they were going to charge my debit card another $19.95 on 3-15-11 as well as $19.95 again on April 12th ($27.94 they already charged my credit card without my authorization, plus the two additional payments of $19.95 they intended to use my credit card to pay; adding up to the total charge on invoice of $67.84 they sent me in the box. I called their 800-235-6050 number on Friday 25th (the day the box of Proactiv was delivered by mail to my home) ... told them that "I didn't order the material they had invoiced me for, did not authorize them to charge my bank debit card for it, and that I was sending it back for FULL "REFUND." Was told that they would cancel my account effective immediately, but I would have to return to them and pay the shipping costs to do so (why should I have to pay to return something that "I NEVER ORDERED" to begin with is beyond my comprehension but seemed that there was nothing I could do about it if I wanted my "refund?") ... ran into a brick wall, so I took the box to the post office, returning it to them by Certified Mail, that cost me $12.15 to do so. While on the phone with them on February 25th in attempting to resolve this "deceptive practices" issue that they created, I asked that they send me an email stating "that my account had been canceled and that there would be no more charges to my credit card, nor would any more Proactiv shipments be sent to me" (they did so; therefore, I have written evidence from them that they canceled my account, there would be no more charges, and that I would be refunded for the package of Proactive (that I NEVER ordered) that I sent back. Today, February 28th, I tried contacting my bank to put them on notice that there were to be no more charges allowed to clear on my debit card if the payee was Proactive ... they told me that they could not comply, they could stop payment on a check for $25.00; but, they could not stop any debit card charges from Proactiv from going through if Proactiv attempted to do so ... this prompted me to call Proactiv 800 number again; at which time I told them if they charged my bank debit card again (March 15th or April 12th as per their invoice, for material that I didn't order and had returned by certified mail, with my account having been canceled per the email evidence from them stating that they had done so dated February 25th, that I would take all my paperwork/evidence (confirmation of original order for ONLY $19.95 with free shipping, copy of their invoice for material that I didn't order and did not authorize payment for to be paid by charging my bank debit card, confirmation that they canceled my account, copy of certified receipt that they received this Proactive back) to my local District Attorney for legal action against them (charging my account, especially after they acknowledged by email that they had cancelled my account prior to doing so "is construed by the District Attorney as "THEFT" ... furthermore, I was sending in a complaint with all my evidence to the National Better Business Bureau, with duplicate to the State of Texas for mail fraud (since package was sent through the mail without my ever placing an order for it and charging my debit card without my authorization, with is clearly a federal case of "Deceptive Trade" (it's a matter of principal, I fully intend to do everything in my power to get a full REFUND for the material I didn't order and the $12.15 it cost me to send it back to them. I think that all those that have had the same problems/issues with Proactiv's deceptive and fraudlent business trade practices should band together and file a "Deceptive Trade" lawsuit against them!!!
