Deceitful Scam
This company ought to be ashamed of themselves. They promise to show me how to save 2500.00 or more on all you debt, including student loans and charged me 495.00 on 9-29-10. That was a discount off the regular price of 795.00! They sent me paperwork to complete with all my credit cards, their balances and APR which I returned on 10-6-10. After they found out my student loans were government loans they were unable to help me with that debt at all. They applied for a two 0% APR offers to transfer all credit card balances to but I was rejected for both offers. So they finally sent me a statement dated 4-6-11 telling me what cards to pay off first, based on the inforamtion sent to them on 10-6-10 even though my situation has changed since then and they were sent my most recent credit report in February 2011. After the card is paid in full they suggested I apply the money I was sending to pay that card on the next highest interest card until all cards are paid in full. That is pretty expensive advice that will take until 2021 to pay off. When you call the toll free number 888-898-0109 you can never speak wih your assigned advisor but must wait for a call back weeks later. I've called many times to speak with a supervisor and a person by the name of Amy usually calls back but never at a convenient time. I finally reached her today, 5-3-11, but she said she can not request a refund since they sent the letter stating which cards to pay off first. They feel they have met their obligation of "showing" me how to save money therefore the 495.00 paid is justified. Do yourself a favor, if yopu get a call from Proactive Planning Solutions, do not fall for their gimmicks. It's a scam...
