Unauthorized Billing
I ordered Proactive over the phone and was told I automatically would be enrolled in their automatic shipping program. There was no way around that option BUT once i received the first box, I could call that day and cancel the auto ship feature. I got the order on April 11 and called on April 11. The rep was helpful and took care of it. Then on April 26 I got billed for a shipment! I called, the rep said it was mistake and she saw I had cancelled on 4/11/11. She said i would be credited in 3-5 business days. Well, today is May 12 and NO CREDIT. I called again and cant get anyone to help me...now what??

Cancelling my order
I ordered proactive for my son to use. He used it the first month, but didn't work.I called to cancel, so that they won't charge my credit card every month. I called 3 times, to my surprise I still recieve their product and they still charge me for thet.I called my credit card, they advised me to return the product.I am so frustrated with them, they tell nothing but lies. They lied about the date of my first call, lied about sending a confirmation letter via email to show order cancellation,
This is the worst company I have yet to deal with.
LIARS, THIEVES

Charging for returned product
I tried it for a couple of months but ProActive did not work for me. I returned a shipment, UNopened. Proactive kept billing me for that shipment. I wrote to them and then called them. At first they said they never received it and they demanded proof of return. The post office never gave me any kind of receipt that I handed the box to the lady behind the counter. Then, after checking ProActive ADMITTED that they really did receive the unopened shipment. Now I just got a call from a collection agency on behalf of ProActive to "collect a debt of $45.80." RUN from any ad you see for ProActive! Terrible company. Crappy product too, you can buy a tube of benzyl peroxide at Walmart for two bucks that will work better.

Keep trying to make me pay for returned shipment
I wish I had read the many complaints about how the Proactive Solutions program treats their customers and the deceptive practices of their program before I ordered a kit for my daughter through the internet. Its been a nightmare.
I do believe that the product works for some people but not all. It didn't work for my daughter so after a couple of shipments, I called and canceled the membership. The customer service rep informed me that there was another shipment on the way and that I could just send it back when I got it. It was a pain to get her to cancel the membership. She tried all kinds of tactics to persuade me to continue. It was annoying.
Weeks later when the last package arrived, I wrote 'return to sender' on it with a big black sharpie and took it to a local place that handles mail and shipments. (I have handled other unwanted shipments the same way without a problem.)
A month went by and then I started getting billing notices from Proactive Solutions saying that I owed for the shipment. I called customer service and explained the situation. He asked if I had proof that I mailed it back and I had to say no because I followed the instructions of the last rep I talked to and when you do 'return to sender' there is no documentation. After a lengthy debate, he said he would update my records and there should be no more bills. Well...he was a liar because another bill came a month later so I called customer service again. This time, the rep tried to claim that I sent it back too late so I still had to pay. Huh? I sent it back the day it arrived! I disputed that and went through the same discussion I had with the previous rep. This new rep made me the same promises that they fixed my account. I hoped this was the end of it.
But no...I next started getting bills from a collection agency as well as 2 and 3 phone calls a day. I answered the first call, explained the situation and the guy said he would update my file and I shouldn't hear from them again. Another liar. The bills from the collection agency and the phone calls from them have continued. It has been over a year now and they still are harassing me. I'm scared to look at my credit because I'm sure they have damaged it. I refuse to pay for something I sent back unopened.
I think part of the problem with this company is their strange shipping schedule. They send a bill weeks before the shipment arrives. By the time the package gets to you and you return it, it can be a month or more after the bill was sent.
For anyone reading this that wants to try the product, I would suggest you buy it from a kiosk at the mall. You will be sorry if you order it through the internet. There are also products that are just as good for less at your local retailers.

Internet Glitch about product
I recently ordered the 5 piece proactive kit of the 4 FL OZ face solutions and when i placed the order online it stated that it was only $29.90 plus tax with free shipping for the 4 FL OZ bottle. so i placed the order and they took out the appropriate fee's. The next month (October 2009), they took out an additional $29.90 out of my bank account and stated that when i signed up, i ordered a 2 month supply (which apparently was the 4 FL OZ bottle) and their website stated it was $29.90 per month (which it didnt at the time). So i called and spoke to a rep @ proactive who states that i am correct and their website didnt mention this at the time and they have gotten many complaints about this, and have even been threaten with law suites from angry customers. They didnt offer to give me my money back, and basically told me to join the law suite that would be coming. The moral of the story... i heard it from the reps mouth @ proactive himself, to Never order their product online as there are always glitches and it automatically enrolls you in their club so they can get more $$

Dissatisfied Customer!!

Wont refund money
First of all be aware that when you order from Proactive you are now signed up for an AUTOMATIC billing and shipping program every 2 months!! Once they have your information they will continue to send out new shipments (and bill you before they are even sent)! Example: My last shipment was charged to my credit card (paid via Paypal) on 2-26-09 and I didn't receive the product until 3-16-09! I called them as soon as I noticed the charge (seen on-line before credit card stmt. was ever sent). They said it was too late to cancel the shipment and that once I received it I could just return it to them, which I did on 3-16-09. They also "Closed" my account at that time, which I hope will turn out to be a blessing in disguise. (This should stop the automatic shipping and billing program, but we will see.) Thinking ahead...I personally paid to Return the package and sent it via US Post Office with a Delivery Confirmation Receipt to track the package and to also have proof as to when they actually received the item back in their possession. They received the package back on March 18. Since then I have had nothing but excuses as to why they aren't returning my money back (via Paypal) to my credit card. Today I spoke with Paypal to see if it was in limbo there and they informed me it was not nor did they have any record of it trying to be returned ~ and that it was as simple as Proactive hitting a button to return my money to me. Paypal also suggested that since it was close to 60 days since the charge that I File a Dispute with my credit card company. I have contacted my credit card company today 4-13-09 and started the process of getting my money back. Hopefully Proactive will get the message that my money is just that and they have no right "sitting on it to make a profit"! (PS ~ My son who used the product noticed no difference in his “acne”. I would highly discourage anyone from trying this product and if you still want to give it a try to go to a Kiosk at the mall and purchase there. You won’t be signed up for the "automatic program" when buying it from them ~ a private company.)

Unauthorized billing
The good news is that Proactive Solutions worked on my adult acne. The best part of the kit was the Refining Mask. I had purchased three kits separately and paid the full asking price. Each time I got the Refining Mask along with the Repair Lotion and cleanser.
Thinking I'd get a better deal I joined the club and ordered the same kit. I got it, then as advertised, I started to receive replacement supplies, along with a bill for $62.68. Instead of the Refining Mask, I was stuck with the Daily Oil solution which I have found does not work. I paid for it, and when the next shipment arrived, I returned it. Two months later another shipment arrived and I returned that. The third shipment arrived with a 'Second Notice' bill. I returned the kit and bill.
Then I got a 'Third and Final Notice' letter with threats to send me to collections. I sent them a letter explaining what I was getting and that I had returned the products back to them. I told them to check their files for my returns and told them that the product did work and I was happy with it but I needed to stop their treatments, per my doctor's orders.
Think that worked? No. Today I got yet another bill with a collections threat attached and a promise never to send products to my address again.
If you are happy with Proactive Solutions, fine. But never join their club!

unauthorized billing/membership
My daughter ordered proactive online through proactive.com. They continued to ship us boxes of proactive and bill me for it. I called them up and told them we did not order this. The customer service rep acted like I am some kind of idiot, because of course I did, because by ordering online, my daughter became a "member". I said that joining any kind of membership is not clear and you should be able to order a product with out becoming a member and this is targeted towards teenagers, who would not notice such a scheme. I told them I would not pay for it, nor would I pay for shipping. They can pick it up or pay for shipping themselves. There is a shipping form that comes with the package whereas you are the one to have to pay for it. After I ranted about the marketing scheme being a sham and deceiving and that I had no intention of giving them any money, he said he's send a shipping label. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! What a scam! I am ticked off!
