Recently while reviewing the Biggest Loser website, I checked out one of the advertisements for the Probiotic supplement. This product was being touted along with the Nature's Acai Berry Supplement which Oprah, Dr. Oz and Rachel Ray were all touting as wonderful. Perhaps the product is good however the "Free Sample" "just pay shipping" offer is a total lie! All the big bold print surrounding the offer makes it appear as though you can try the product risk free and for the cost of shipping alone. What they don't tell you is that in the very small print that you must agree to in order to proceed with receiving the free sample is that this is really a monthly commitment to receive this product at a cost of $69.98 plus shipping and for the Natures Acai Berry product a monthly charge of $79.96 plus shipping. Additionally, they charged me more then a month later a fee of $29.95 for a Fit Factory which was to provide some sort of counseling etc. with a real dietician. This part of the program was also revealed in the small print. I use a special account for on-line purchases and transfer money into it as I use it. I think I somehow thought I was protecting myself from this kind of thing but my wonderful banking institution paid the three charges and then charged me for the NSF fees. After very heated conversations, I was able to get the charges reversed from both companies but they wouldn't pay the NSF fees stating that it is my responsibility to read the information that I'm agreeing to. My bank will go after the companies for the NSF charges but only if I file a complaint and they go after them for the product charges as well. My advise to you is ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT! It would seem that this is a common practice for companies like these and I guess the old saying 'if it seems to good to be true, then it probably is' would hold true here.
