Projector Expo Reviews

I almost divorced because of them!!
It was a nice Sarturday morning and 4th July, I had been wanting to by a Sony Bravia 52 inch for a long time and had been doing some research on the internet to find the best deal, but you know what they said, if it is too good to be true... Well I had found my dream tv for 2K less than in a retail store, so I didn't even think about it, I called projector export right away, I spoke to a gentleman named "Louis", he told me they did not have the TV that I wanted because it was the old model, but that for a few hundreds more I could get the most recent model, I was doubting and the salesman told me to take a moment to check it out on their website, which I did, of course what I saw convinced me plus they had excellent reviews which were obviously fake. After I hung up with the sales man I found out he had lied to me, he had sold me the cheapest version for much more than what it cost in retail, I called right away to cancel, but no one ever picked up the phone, that same moment I called my credit card company and they had already charged the 2, 800. I kept trying to call them I did not even sleep that day, I called for days trying to cancel my order and get a refund and the same lady would transfer me back and forth, I would talk to Louis almost daily, but obviously he did not want to cancel the order or even less issue a refund, but finally after having my wife and I called several times a day the order did showed as cancelled on the website which was a relief, they would make up excuses and even told me I was stupid for not understanding they were going to issue a credit but that they had to call their bank and I had to fill out some documents they were going to send eventually. Time passed and once the transaction was posted I filed a claim with my cc company and placed a complaint with the BBB. Finally my credit card company issued a credit. I even exchanged some heated words with Louis and he insulted to me. I could not believe what had happened to me, I could not believe businesses like that existed and they were not sued or shut down by the some consumer protection agency. Obviously the website does not longer exist. I took the time to write this review that people be aware of this type of fradulent internet only business, make sure you check reviews from other website before making an internet purchase and make sure the site that offers the reviews is an honest site. Thank God I paid with my credit card and I was able to recuperate my money, otherwise I would have been robbed by this guys, I wasted time and energy on solving my problem, it was a nightmare for me, the worst experience I ever had making an internet purchase. I can't these were legal businesses taking advantage of consumers who seek a good deal on the internet.

Please be careful when making internet purchases from websites that put their own reviews.

Fraud and cheating
I ordered a 52' TV in May 2008. After talking to 'Brian' and a lot of promises, I ordered a TV for $3058+. They never gave me a tracking number as promised. They would not answer my questions. They never sent a TV. Two times when I pretended to be a new customer ordering I cornered them and they said my bank was holding the money from me. A quick check proved otherwise. When I complained to my bank, my bank gave me a temporary credit while they investigated. October 15 2008 My Bank said the temporary credit was permanent. This is the worst I have ever been ripped off. I buy from E Bay all the time Thank you Bank of Boston. Please be warned!

Horrible Customer Service!
I purchased a TV from Projector Expo 6 weeks ago (still waiting). I went to the website to see about the status of things, where there was a message saying "please call". The messages before that always said "in progress". By the way, all you get is "in progress" when trying to track your order. So, I called and was told "that department isn't here now, please call on Sunday." Called on Sunday and was told, "I don't know if I can help you, it IS Sunday after all." To which I told him that I was TOLD to call on Sunday after 9am. He said "hold on." After a few minutes he connected me to someone else. "Oh, yeah. Your TV arrived broken. It'll be another 3 weeks." Just like that! No "very sorry to inform you"...no offer to make things right with me, just a flat, intolerable statement. No one should have to wait 9 weeks for a TV to be delivered. Where is the customer service? When the problem arrived, I should have gotten a phone call from the company with an apology and some offer to make things better...hundred bucks off, gift certificate, whatever. But, I had to ring them to find out why there was a delay, never got an apology, and I had to ask them for some type of compensation. What is going on? I'm really disgusted. I cancelled the order, needless to say. Maybe it's the facelessness of the internet that promotes poor customer service? Just a theory...
