NOT A SCAM
I am completely convinced Proscout is a legitimate company.
The success stories are endless. I myself know numerous people who received NUMEROUS callbacks(I am waiting for a reply email as to what it led to!).
I just got back from their interview(I have attended one event. ) They turned away 3/4 of the people that showed up for the interview. If this company was a "Scam" they would accept the 800 dollars from ANYONE who brought it!
Lastly, watch the following video...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKkZWTsGWWU&feature=player_embedded
You can tell that the success stories are not scripted, especially from big names, like "Jesse Plemmons", why would he give a fake testimonial?(He is on the show "Friday Night Lights").
Jae Head from "The Blind Side" is another terrific example.

How can you call Proscout a scam? I do not doubt that agents may be compensated to go up there...but the fact is, if they see real talent, they obviously take it. Go prepared, and STAND OUT.
The ones screaming "SCAM", are the ones that left empty handed, AND with an empty wallet!
When factoring in the 800 dollars to attend proscout, you have to think LOGICALLY.
Proscout is not an agent, they are a jumpstart to your career. They get you in front of agents, that otherwise, would not take the time out of their day.
You could spend hundreds of thousands of dollars(in my case), to relocate to Los Angeles, start small, build a resume, find an agent, etc. BUT- That will cost me hundreds of thousands. Purchase a home(not interested in moving short term, if I go), but even if you lease...LA is 2-4 times as expensive as anywhere else. Headshots, Acting classes, all the necessities to find an agent. We are talking serious cash.
Proscout is a huge savings, if you TAKE ADVANTAGE of it. You can't start a business without some startup costs. Same thing here.
And if your business fails, as you lack knowledge and experience, that does not mean anybody "Scammed" you, just means opportunity knocked, and you were not prepared to answer.

UNPROFESSIONAL
At the beginning of the session, the "spokesperson" told the audience there were going to be two outcomes from attending the interview. He said that, once you speak to one of the two interviewers (for about two minutes), you'll either get a card, which means ProScout in interested or you won't get a card, which means ProScout is not interested and you're free to leave. The children were interviewed first. My six-year-old daughter and I approached one of the two interviewers who told me (the parent) that it may be my time but not my daughter's. He asked us to sit down and kept our forms. When the adults were instructed to approach, I did so, with my daughter. We were again instructed to sit down. All the while, it seemed as though every other person was approaching was told either to stay or go. After about an hour, I approached the same interviewer and told him I did not get a card, he kept our forms and told us to stay. Rudely, he told me, "Don't worry about it. Just have a seat." I did for awhile but then decided if he was interested he would've given me a card. We left. Everyone else got their two-minute interview and a decision was made. Why did he have my daughter and I wait for over an hour to find out if they were interested or not?

Not a Scam.
I atteneded a Proscout event over the past weekend, and I can safely tell you that they are NOT in any way a scam. Firstly, take a look at their profile with the better business bureau, and you will clearly notice that they have an A + rating, which is INCREDIBLY rare and not an easy accomplishment. Second of all, they will be the first people to tell you that just because you've paid your dues for the event does not mean you are guarenteed callbacks - they simply present the agents to you, after that it is entirely in your hands to impress them. (They mentioned this at the original screening as well as at the event MULTIPLE TIMES.) Also, to the comment that the agents are 'scam artists' as well, this is incredibly untrue- agents from Ford, Elite, Ny & LA models (google these if you don't know them- they are LITERALLY THE BEST OF THE BEST) were at my event, including about 30 other agencies. Yes, it does cost money, and yes, it is a gamble because not everyone recieves a callback, but as the agent that I am now with explained to me (and yes, I met him at Proscout-THANKS PROSCOUT), these agents WILL NOT invest in a beginning model/actor who is not willing to invest in themselves, first. I can fully guarentee that this is not a scam, however if you decide to go, be willing to put in the effort to exersize, eat right, and come with your 'A' game- because these agents DO NOT waste their time with anything less- If you didn't lose the extra 5 pounds or take care of your skin ect., they will notice, and they will not waste their valuable time on someone who isn't willing to give their full potential from the start. Do your resaerch about the industry, be prepared for critisism, and realize the Proscout is a modeling convention which raises your chances of being noticed by legitamate agencies TREMENDOUSLY.

Proscout
Procscout is out to get your money, plain and simple.
I attended an event with my daughter this past year. Our hotel alone was several hundred dollars.
They waved her fee if she would vouch for them .. and she has, but then again so have lots of people on this complaint board. I wonder how many of them were hungry teenagers lured by this under-handed promotional scam.
She got a call back, but nothing ever materialized. The agent was rude and not sincere within the least, her got her hopes up, then never called back.
I went mainly to keep and eye on her, the whole arrangement seemed shady to me and it was.
If you really want your child to 'make it' in life, don't set them up with a scam like Proscout is trying to pull. Sure they have the hype down pat, but in reality, these kids are being set up to fail. Spend time with your children, show them that you love them .. and be on the watch for scams like Proscout.

PROSCOUT
I was an Invited PAID agent to attend PROSCOUT. We get paid $200 plus hotel, airfare and meals.
All the agents show up for a fun time out of town. The LA agents represent NO celebs are basically in the business of attending showcases not selling actors.
Ask any one of them who they represent and for sure you will know none of them. The organization is scam.
they are in and out taking your 800$ +
I suggest you get a list BEFORE you agree to attend of EXACTLY who will be at the event. You for sure will not get it.
Check out what agents from LA are attending.
The modeling agents are all their to support their own scam. Selling pictures room and board etc...
