Utility claims back taxes owed after annexation
PSE is trying to charge back taxes they failed to collect from February 2010 - July 2010 following a city annexation. Customers living in this section of town were not properly charged the new tax rate following the annexation, accouding to PSE.
When questioned about being back billed for the new tax rate, the PSE rep Dan Murphy directed complaints to City Hall.
A City Hall rep notified PSE that the tax rate was to change in proper timing - so the delay/billing error is within PSE.
A 2006 presidence allows PSE to back bill up to two months, not six - eight months prior. The supposed back billing should be adjusted but right now PSE refuses to do so.

Custmer Abuse - We Paid the bill, still not turn on gas for 4 days in VERY cold Winter
We owes some money to PSE, they shut off our gas.
Many of our roommates in the house called them many times after we paid the bill in full. It was in March 2009, very cold, on 4/1/09 even snowed.
We called PSE many times and told them we need the gas to cook, to use hot water to shower and also, it was very cold. They ignored us, and created all kinds of lies!!!
Here are what they LIED:
PSE stupid lies regarding the end of March/beginning of April 2009:
1. PSE didn't receive a call after the bill was paid (We couldn't wait to have them turned on right away, I called right away)
2. PSE lied about we provided a wrong address (each time when anyone called they'd ask what is your address and or account number first)
3. PSE lied about we are unhappiness said they need police escorted - what a jock!
4. I called them the 3rd day and told them where the keys were, they didn't show up, still! Even on the snow day 4/1/09!
5. PSE lied about no one would be at home (I personally waited them for two days at the house! They said they couldn’t give any specific time so we had to wait them from 8am to midnight! In fact we do have people in the house in the night time too!
6. We called them and told them without gas we couldn't cook, couldn't take shower, and no hot water either, and the weather was very cold. We all called many times, they ignored us continually till I called the State Utility Commission and US house representative Jay Inslee office.
7. We demand $40 per person for after the payment made in full is fair, because PSE made us have to spent more money to eat out, and we couldn't take shower and it was too cold. If it was in the coldest state people could die from the frozen weather without heat. So, I think we have the reason to keep the $40/per person (200 total) for our lost of use. They only waved $35 reconnection fee was not enough to us.
IF, THERE IS MONOPOLY, THAT IS PUGET SOUND ENERGY!!!
Why the government let them to grow so huge and made us no any other choice???!!!
The government was trying to brake up Microsoft and some baby Bells, didn't they? Why not PSE????
Now the economy is so bad, many people are behind the payment.
Now PSE is busy on SHUTTING DOWN PEOPLE'S GAS AND ELECTRICITY AND CHARGE YOU MORE ALL KINDS OF FEES!
AND, THEY SAY, WE DON' HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO WORK ON IT... YEA, NO TIME TO TURN IT ON, AND LIE AND CHARGE, AND ABUSE CUSTOMERS!!!
STOP THIS MONOPOLY PSE!!!
