This company advertised that it was looking for subcontractors, promising in its contract to pay within 90 days of completed work. I was one of those subcontractors who trusted in the integrity of the company. Yet this company is now well over 5 months BEYOND the 90-day period in back payments to scores of subcontractors, including myself ... it made multiple times the amount that I personally brought in per month for the company and seems to have spent all of that money without paying me my share. It would seem that the company was using subcontractors as a form of "bank" for itself, spending the money they brought in while getting farther and farther behind in payments. It has since tried to coax subcontractors to remain with the company, promising that it will now pay future work on time, if they will stay, and will catch up on back payments--implying what? That it will not voluntarily make regular payments on the back payments if the subcontractors do not continue to work for it? That the subcontractors will have to take it to court to obtain their past due earnings?
