they (pch) indicate that no purchase is necessary yet when you try to close that page you get a pop-up stating if you do you will lose your chance to enter. Which is it ? no purchase necessary or lose your chance by not puchasing. I find this action extortion!!!Please explain

magazines
Okay, I ordered two magazines from Publisher Clearing House but only receivec one of the magazines ordered. THey started billing before the first issue c ame. I received only two issues of one and the other stopped after the fourth issue. I told them, but they kept on billing, getting more and more nasty. They will not acknowledge receipt of any correspondence from me. I am tired of the threats and awful customer service. I have asked to be removed from their mailing list, and seriously contemplating contacting my attornies. Awful, just awful business.

Fraud and cheating
On Friday, February 27th 2009 I got a fraudulent check in the mail for $5, 935.00 from Canada. It said that I had won the 2nd Grand Prize in the Reader's Digest Drawing. The prize was supposedly 1 million dollars.

The check had the name Sharon Mills at 1-888-317-4154 on it. When i called her I was told that an IRS agent had my million. I was supposed to put the $5, 935 in my account and send back $3, 800. The $3, 800 was for fees to come deliver the 1 million.

It sounded immensely real to me and I was planning on going through with it until i read all of the complaints on this website. I've seen others with the same check, who thought they won the same prize, and the same fake information was given to them. It's a scam!!! I got scammed!

It's depressing, really, that they get people's hopes up and then try to scam you out of all the money you own!!

Sent me a refurbashed computer that did not have what was promised in add.
Publisher Clearing House sent me checks stating that I won these checks to purchase certain Items. I chose the computer. Sent them a check for $350.00. The computer came in two different shipments. First the monitor then the drive, keyboard and mouse. The on/off button for the speakers was broke. Took the speakers apart and fix button. Cannot turn the monitor off using the button. If the on/off switch is used on monitor can't turn back on. Short in the button. Can only turn monitor off by turning the power off. Did not get Micorsoft word, Excell and other software. Picture showed software in CD's. No back up CD.

Talked to a local shop in town that sells refurbeshed computers. Could have purchased one for $250.00 with a flat screen and keyboard that does not lock up everytime you try to type anything.
