Publishers Billing Exchange Reviews

Dolores McElmuray July 29, 2010
took money for tv guide subs.
I have received renewal notices for my TV Guide and paid them, but they keep sening another notice. Tried to call, but phone number was no longer a working number. Checking at yellow box.com led me to this site and the information that I had been scamed for $55.96. This is so disturbing that I fell for this, since I am on a set income and can't afford to throw away that kind of money and will also not be able to renew my TV Guide. Is there anything that can be done to retrieve this monry? Thank you, Dolores McElmuray

False magazine subscription renewal
I was sent a notice of renewal for a magazine I subscribe to. I had just recently sent in a two-year renewal for that magazine. The cost of the new renewal was more than the magazine currently costs. I contacted the company that owns the magazine and they told me that Publishers Billing Exchange is a fraudulant company that is not authorized to sell subscriptions. They tried to steal $71.88 from me. They did the same thing to me 80-year old mother. They should be ashamed!

fraud
PBE claimed to be the magazine Cat Fancy sending a renewal. I stupidly paid and then got the real renewal. PBE sent me a refund of $23.25 and kept $20.00. I get nothing--no subscription and they have stolen my $20. I know it's a small amount but multiply it by a few million. These crooks should be put out of business.

Fraud
Received a very "official" renewal notice for a British magazine that I subscribe to, Country Living. Sent a cheque for$37.50 to this company, a partial payment towards the subscription renewal and I then started getting calls from the actual agent for the magazine, Express Mag, concerning my subscription and it's impending lapse in service...got curious and "google-ed" Publishers Billing Exchange and found out that they are fraudsters!

Continue to bill, scam?
I continue to receive billing statements with a balance of $22.50 for an antique newspaper I am receiving. The expiration for the publication is 04-07-2012!! It is paid up...I have written to the PBE with no response.
