This was the first day I came to Pune (MH, India). I arrived here at 6:15 in the morning and as i was not aware about the buses available for my route I opted for autorikshaw. As soon as I got down from the bus all rikshaw walas started asking every passenger so i told one of them my destination and he said in these morning hours we take 1.5 times of meter reading! At that time I said yes to him thinking that I might be able to propose him to lessen the fair afterwards, but after reaching home i asked him how much? he said meter reading is Rs.96 and total is Rs. 150! I started arguing with him about this large fair which he was charging extra, he said this is the rule as we don't get passengers while going back. there was no other option than paying him that much for such small distance. After getting down I asked other rikshaw wala about this thing of 1.5 times extra and he said yes it is true but it is applied between 10pm to 6am!! While that guy charged me this extra at 6:45am!! He simply fooled me with Rs. 50. Such is the case in Pune. Beware u all!
