We waited years until we were ready to adopt a dog. We were very specific about our needs - we wanted a yorkshire terrier, one that we could easily travel with. We looked at a puppy that we were told would be 6-8# fully grown. We were told the father was under 3# and the mother was 7#. The standard for this breed is 6-8#.

When the puppy arrived she was 7.5# at 4 months of age. She is now 5 months and is 11.5# and projected to be 14#. She is so large that she will not be able to fly with us.

The breeder completely mislead us. In fact, there is no way this is a pure bred yorkshire terrier. We spent thousands of dollars for a mutt. When we called Purebred Breeders, their response was that they could care less. We now have a dog that can't fly with us and as a result will cost additional money to have to board her. This is not the dog we desired.

Do use Purebred Breeders or Tracey and Jimmy Rife, breeder in Conroe, TX - completely dishonest.
