Paid for treatment - company disappeared
I called them today to get my already paid for $300 photo facial. No answer. It looks like they disappeared without honoring or refunding anyone's money. Super.

bitches.

yes - i will file any class action suit. im calling my credit card company and trying to see if i can get the charges cancelled - i paid for it along with another treatment - so its doubtful. this sucks.

LOCATION CLOSED - PAID SERVICES
I still had sessions left on laser hair removal and come to find out this weekend when I went for an appointment that they are closed! What can I do?

No Refund of $5,000
I purchased a laser hair removal package which I have been using throughout 2009. I had an appointment today and the doors were closed. The door had a Police note to leave the premises. I have no idea who to call, where to go, and how to get the money back that I paid upfront for a service that I am not even half way of receiving. It is ridicolous that this would happen in the U.S. I think we need to make these people pay up, big. Until all these centers are closed down, they can pay us back because someone is making BIG $$ and it's not the customer. I am going to get to the bottom of this. If anyone wants to contact me, the more voices of complaints, the louder we will be. I am going to take this to the Better Business Bureau, to newspapers and to Channel 5. A little pressure will teach them. Email me if interested, this is personal now. I work for my money, dam it. [email protected].

Refusing to honor credit
The Pure Med Spa in Walnut Creek, CA offered a sale on Dysport injections so I purchased $900 in units in October. They cancelled an appointment I had made for February because they "had not yet received their shipment" and suggested I reschedule at a later time. Recently, I called several times over three days, leaving one message and receiving only their answering machine on follow-up calls. Of course, no one returned my call. Suspicious due to a complaint I accidentally came across online, I called the store in Corte Madera. (At least someone answered their phone!) I was told that the company was "going under" and that they were no longer honoring credits and not issuing refunds. When I said this was wildly unacceptable, the girl said she thought so as well, and that I should call my credit card company and dispute the charge. I did so and am in the process of crossing my fingers, hoping the dispute will hold from a charge made so many months ago.

If you have credits of any kind at Pure Med Spa or BriteSmile, I suggest acting immediately to get any money back that you can.

I went to my appt, and they were closed
After paying in full ($1500.00) for six laser hair removal treatments, I showed up for my second appointment with Pure Med Spa Laser Hair Removal in the Redondo Beach Galleria only to find they were closed and the telephone disconnected. The mall information desk said the mall managers were try to find out what was happening as well. I came accross this web site while trying to find the coroprate office's number. If anyone out there can help me please contact me [email protected]

Can't Get Another Appointment
I have called Pure Med Spa three times in the last three days asking them to call me back for an appointment. I have yet to hear from them. Based on the comments I have read about this place I may never hear from them. I am half way through with my lasar treatment ($579) and fear that I may never have the rest of the treatments. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! Pay the extra money and go to a professional's office.

STORE CLOSED DOWN
My daughter wanted to have facial hair lasered and I purchased a six treatment package from Pure Med Spa in the Promenade Mall, Temecula, CA, naturally paying in full for the treatments. My daughter had her first two treatments, with the third treatment scheduled. When she went to Pure Med Spa, the doors were locked and the lights were off. We have tried calling them but only get an answering machine, with any requests for call backs being ignored. There is no contact information and when we tried emailing, it came back undeliverable as apparently their website is shut down as well. We feel that they knew they were going to be closing and that this is consumer fraud.

LOCATIONS CLOSED DOWN
My husband went to the Galleria Mall location to purchase a laser hair removal package for me for a gift, because I was always complaining about my femstache. He said the guy was really rude and said it was $300.00 for 1 session. He knew 1 session would not be sufficient so a girl who worked there told him to buy a gift certificate and I can pay the remaining balance. So I called one day and I received and great special! 8 sessions for $400.00! They advised me that their stores laser machine was waiting for a part but I could go to their Las Vegas Blvd location. When I showed up for my appointment their credit card machine conviently was not working so I payed the remaining in cash. The estheticians name was Stella. She was GREAT!! I was very happy with my first procedure. My second procedure, same thing, Stella was wonderful. My third procedure, Stella no longer worked for the company. I got one of those young girls, but she was very nice. My fourth visit doors are locked with a note on the door to call their Galleria Mall location, I kept getting a voicemail and nobody would get back to me. So I went to that location and doors are locked also. I cannot get anybody to return my calls, now i'm out 5 sessions. They must have known they were going out of business hence the great deal and the credit card machine not working so I could not dispute the charges.

shotty procedure
i don't even know if anyone is still reading these posts because as i can see, many of these complaints have been posted a year or more ago. anyways, i almost cried reading these posts because until today, this is the first time i am seeing such a long list of people that have been dealing with the problems that i have been dealing with for the past 2 years. one of the posts that i just read was about mesotherapy and the outcome that this individual had, was the exact same result as i had. after receiving my first treatment of mesotherapy on my thighs 2 years ago, i too had lumps under my skin, following the endless months of terrible bruising and swelling and i too still have bruise-like patches left behind that i can't get rid of (2 years later). i have paid close to 10, 000 of my own money that of course i cannot afford to try to get rid of the left over product and lumps that the meso procedure left behind under my skin. it was suggested to me to begin doing vela-shape because the heat from the laser would help break down the lumps. true, it has helped, not fully though, and i should hope that it would have finally helped for 10, 000 dollars. needless to say, i have talked to at least 15 different people from doctors and nurses to management at pure med spa (because of the huge turn around of staff) and i have gone to see a dermotologist as well as visiting one of dr. mulhuland's facilities here in toronto (who is the creator of the meso-therapy concoction used on my thighs) which ironically enough was discontinued about a week after it was given to me. if that doesn't say something about the credibility of a product when it is discontinued after a week after being treated with it, then i don't even know what to say about it. anyways, i have had a very long journey, trying to find someone who will help or listen to me and help me resolve this problem once and for all. what i have written doesn't even begin to outline the journey i have had, the countless crying episodes i have endoured nor the countless phone calls and meetings i have had, to seek some kind of help with this matter. needless to say that i have contemplated taking my situation to small claims court but i do not have any paper work as my file is still at puremed spa and until i can retrieve all my information i.e pictures, forms etc. i don't know what can be done? does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about attempting my own "small claims court" venture...i cannot afford to pay out any more money so i don't even know if any further action will be possible. but, if anyone has any suggestions at all, i am all ears. big hugs to everyone dealing with all the bullshit!!

Not paying employees
I am a recent former employee of Pure and I want to warn any prospective client of the dangers of investing your money with them. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT prepay for ANY services with them. Not even a Groupon. They are one step from filing for bankruptcy, AGAIN. I very much enjoyed working there, my manager was/is a fantastic person, and I enjoyed my work a lot. However, Pure is a big company, nationwide and into Canada, and it is being run into the ground by its corporate big wigs. The last paycheck I received was a month late, and they still owe me two more (a month late as well). The paycheck before that came on Christmas Eve (also late), but when many employees went to cash them, the funds were not available. I am new to Pure, but apparently this has all been par for the course for some time. The result of all of this is that staff is leaving in droves, so most centers do not have the technicians to even do the services they will sell you. You will buy your package and then be given the run around as to when you can come in for the service. They will try to send you to other locations that are not at all convenient for you to get to. They will even sell you services that you cannot get at that location because they don't have the equipment there. In fact more locations are losing equipment because it is being repod by the manufacturers for nonpayment. All I'm saying is buyer beware. Pure is going down and they do not care about their clients. The staff that is left, and it's managers are at the mercy of a bigger corporate beast that is desperately trying to claw its way out of financial ruin and the only thing it cares about is getting cash in the door. A lot of the people that work there are honest (like my former manager) and will not sell you snake oil, but not all of them.This is a warning from someone who knows better. I hope this post will save at least one person from wasting their money on this financially and morally bankrupt company.
