Purified Restoration came as a preferred service provider with our insurance company. They came in and did mold abatement, which has to be done a certain way according to Fed law. They left our closet walls wide open, then we signed a contract with them for $10, 000 to finish the closet, have the house painted, and carpet remediated. They spent 1/2 hour to 'rebuild the closet, ' then left. They had someone come in after hours, spend 15 minutes shooting 'texturizer' only in the middle of the closet (supposed to be all walls), then they hung around in our front yard about 15 minutes, then came back in and looked at the paint.
This was on a Thursday. They said they were coming back to tape for painting after 1:00, but never returned. Monday, they came in and had my poor mother remove all items from the living room and put them in boxes. They removed the main furniture to a pod out in our front yard. (Took maybe 2 1/2 hours.) They then did not return. They told us daily they were coming back to tape for the paint, but would only come for a minute, left requested paint swatches on the walls, and left again. By the 4th day, we contacted our insurance, who said if they weren't getting it done, we should fire them. Now they're trying to charge us $5000 for all kinds of things they never did. They put a lien against our house, and the owner even bragged that he 'goes to court all the time, and he ALWAYS wins.' Even name-dropped the judge! Our insurance co is insisting that they (Purified) have to come off their bill with the items that were not performed. We then had to hire someone else to finish the job, who will not come back until he gets payment. We cannot pay him until Purified lets go of this ridiculous claim! Going through the ice storm and all the troubles we've had since is enough, but now we've got insult to much, much injury!
