On 13 August I received a phone call from someone from Pushtraffic claiming that they heard I had some websites I wanted to market. I was surprised as I had not posted anything anywhere, but it turned out that they had found my information via another internet marketing company that I bought something from. I was annoyed, but decided to listen to what they offered. The sales person offered that they would market my website for me and also teach me how to do it, plus they would give me a free website that they would also market. The price for this and a year of support was $2500. I said that I didn't have that kind of money. The salesman then immediately changed the price to $1500. This also annoyed me and made me suspicious, but I still carried on listening. I said that I couldn’t afford to lose that kind of money and he responded by saying that I was guaranteed to make my money back within 21 days and that I would be refunded if I didn’t. I told him I would think about it and he could call me back the next day. When he phoned me again on the evening of the 14th, I again stressed that I couldn’t afford to lose the money and I would only sign up if he confirmed that I couldn’t lose. He again promised that it came with a money back guarantee. He then sent me an email saying that I had to print the form he sent, sign and fax it back immediately while he was on the phone so that they could start on my file. I did this and feeling pressured because he was on the phone to South Africa from the US, I didn’t read the invoice properly. As soon as I put the phone down, I read the invoice again and saw something that I was not happy with. The invoice included 10 hours of internet seminar coaching which was useless to me because of our high internet costs and limited bandwidth in South Africa. I saw the link to their refund policy at the bottom of the invoice and typed it into my browser. This resulted in a page not found error. I was really worried and emailed them stating my fears and requesting the refund. This resulted in a phone call in the next few days where a Mr Severino tried to convince me that I would make money and that I should carry on. As he sounded very convincing, I decided to take their first coaching call.
A few days later I received this call which lasted for an hour. Throughout the call, the caller told me things which I already knew. He also looked at my existing website and said that it was very professional and that he realized that I was already very advanced compared to what they were going to offer me. On the free website he said that he would do it for me, but he actually felt embarrassed as it was nowhere near the quality of my own site. At the end of the call I knew that the product was not going to work for me as neither the web seminars nor the coaching calls nor the free website could offer me anything.
I sent them an email the next day stating that I had taken the call, explained my situation and then my conclusion that the product was falsely presented to me and that it was not what they claimed, I requested to get my money back.
Since that day I have been trying without success to get these people to refund me, most of the time my emails are ignored, official requests via their site ticket system get no responses.
They have called me on the odd occasion to try and convince me to carry on, but it always results in the same thing, weeks of silence and no response to my request. I have all emails and requests sent and received as proof of my ongoing saga with them.
For the $1500 I have paid, I have thus had one coaching call. I conclude that this is fraud due to the false representation of a product and refusal to refund the money that was paid after it was pointed out to this company very clearly within days of making payment.
