PWWOnLine - Promoting a Google's Software Package -
No clear indication that by authorizing a $1.97 charge that within 5-7 days you authorized a $79.90 monthly service fee.
I never got past setting up a password - I never logged on to utilize the service. There was no clear indication that I would be charged a continuous service charge.
My first awareness was when I received my credit card statement. I contacted PWWOnLine at 1-800-497-4988. The experience was very negative. I was put on hold, disconnected, and passed around. Finally, I was told that $79.90 was to be credited back to my account within 7-10 business days. I also cancelled a service I did not know that I had. On the 7th day I check my account to see if a credit had been applied. PWWOnLine had charged a second fee of $79.90.
First I contacted my bank to file a second disputed charge. The bank representive transferred me to a google complaint number and I got a recording. "Due to the high volume of complaints received and that they were NOT AFFLAITED WITH PWWONLINE no messages were being taken." The recording advise to call 1-800-497-4988.
Again I contacted PWWOnLine. Again I was put on hold, disconnected, and passed around. Finally I talked to a supervisor. She indicated that only one of the $79.90 charges would be credited. Her attitude was defensive and rude. I indicated that my bank had been advised and that $159.90 was in dispute.
This is not RIGHT and PWWOnLine is taking advantage of the situation. I will contact the Texas Attorney General's office to be advised of the correct agency to file a formal complaint.
