Over bill, horrible customer interface
We schedule regular clean which is coverred by insurance, but Q dental bill me as period maintenance which is never requested, not informed and not fully coverred by my insurance.
I called for correction, the manager insisted me on-site talk (for bill issue only? I have to take my work day off). In the office, the manager claim she received history dental record of "period maintenance " and it is mandatary for us to use this service in Q dental. I asked to present our "history dental record", it turns out the document never exist. Then the manager changed as "patient verbally informed". I told her "My family do not even know this type of service", I only expect regular teeth clean as I always done for years. Now what, the manager made a final claim: "we made all decision right, there is not mistake in your case and we will not correct anything!" I asked: "could you write down your statement and sign it". The answer is "NO!".

Over billing
I seriously think the dentists at Q overlook or do crappy jobs on minor issues so that they escalate into major work (kind of like a mechanic not putting your part in correctly so that you'll need to come back again). Last year when faced with having dentures or dental implants while still in my 30's I opted for the implants. I was promised a payment plan but was hounded at every visit for more and more money. After leaving one appointment in tears for being scolded by the receptionist I went home and went through my paper work from Q and my insurance estimates..THEY WERE OVER BILLING ME BY $1, 000! I called back and the receptionist was awful..so we threatened to not only call our insurance provider but a lawyer as well...lo and behold less than 5 minutes later they called back claiming they made a mistake and yes my calculations were right. Had I not checked over the bill I doubt they would have "found" thier error - and would have gladly taken my money!

Terrible service
I had to find a new dentist due to our new insurance. I had heard about Q Dental and was pleased to see one close to me.
I had my first root canal done, which was done in 3 visits. The Dr. never told me what to do or what he was going to doing. I had to ask on my second visit when he would put the post in. He said he just did it. When I went the last visit it seemed to go well even though I got home and couldn't floss comfortably. Two days later I noticed a black line between the gum and the tooth.
As I had errands to run in Penfield, which is away from where I live, I decided to stop in as I had to get a perscription from my other Dr.
Lunch hours at most Dr. offices are between noon and 1. I went into the dentists office around 1:10 and was told no one could look at it as everyone was on lunch. That was fine but the way this Amy handled me was horrible. She said I had an attitude and went and tried to get some one to just look which is all I wanted. Instead she got people to come out and look at the mean lady. I told her she should be fired for her unprofessionalism and customer service. She didn't care. Finally the manager Barb came over and Amy still would not let me speak. I just asked if someone would look at the tooth as I was scared it may be infected and thank God it was not, also it was a tooth not in front with a black line. Barb told Amy to go in the back and we had a very nice conversation of my problem. She just told me to come back at 2 and someone would look at it.
Never will I return and for that matter they seemed to think Amy yelling at me was ok. I hate confrontations. I would have fired her in an instant and told her so. I was so embarrassed. I cannot believe that there was no one to complain too. I would have been fired.
I would like to file a complaint but there is nothing on the internet for Q dental.
