On 9/8/06 I purchased a 1 yr international voip plan from quantumtone.com. After ten days of no service, on 9/23/06 I canceled my service with quantumtone. And on 9/24/06 I received confirmation of my cancellation of service from a customer representative, Tofe. After several weeks from not hearing from quantumtone I was able to contact Kris Parvez of quantumtone, he provided a return address and assurance I would receive a refund.
On 10/12/06, I returned the merchandise & confirmed delivery. Once again after several weeks and no reply, I was able to contact and customer service rep and filed a complaint case # D-561-207-140-307. I waited 2 weeks before having to contact Kris P., to my astonishment he told me that I do will not receive a refund since, I had exceeded the grace period and that if I had the onus was on me to prove otherwise. As I had specified above, I had purchased the 1-year service plan and had was entitled to a 30 day money back guarantee grace period. The billing dept when presented with this evidence contacted me 2/05/07 telling me they had made the reconciliation and that I would receive a refund $419.40 within the next 7 days. Having not received the check, I contacted quantumtone on 2/14/07, and was told that a check would be sent out the following week. Again I contacted quantumtone on 3/14/07, and was again told that the check had been sent out, I then asked them to resend the check believing that it had gotten lost.
For the past six months I have made countless attempts to contact someone at quantumtone to receive my refund. I even asked my Citicard to help me contact quantumtone but to no avail. I have faithfully complied with all the stipulations and regulations on the Quantumtone website. I canceled within the 30 day grace period. However, Quantumtone has still not refunded my money and has continues to ignore me and my requests for a refund. These people are deceitful and underhanded and should not be trusted.
