I'm a little concerned with misleading info being given out on Question & Answer sites on the Internet about Child Support. The two links below are good examples. As you can see below the links are my answers, that child support ends at age 21 in the State of New York. However, WebAnswers deleted those answers in favor of "If there is a child support order it will either run til the child turns 18 or if the child goes on goes to college that can only be if thats the case".
Naturally, it would be my hope that any father reading that may seek a second opinion, however many seem to think that if it is on the Internet that it must be true. The answer is actually encouraging the obligor to commit a crime.

My Answer, which was deleted: In New York, it stops at age 21, regardless of whether the child goes to college or lives away from home. However, after age 18, you can request a modification for the money to go directly to the child.
