I was checking my online bank statement and saw a charge for $14.94 from QuickBucksDirect. I didn't know anything about this company or the charge so I googled it and found this complaint site. Then I found the website for the loan company and this is what is on the site if you go to www.quickbucksdirect.com "We regret to inform you that QuickBucksDirect will no longer be accepting any applications for payday loans. If you have questions please feel free to contact us at 1-877-773-7723 or via email at
[email protected]. Thank you."<br />
How about that! Wonder why they put that there... well, so I called the 1-877-773-7723 number in my bank statement. For those of you who don't know what your charge is for, here is what they told me: I filled out an online application (which I dont recall doing) and there is an electronic signature thing to prove you did submit the application plus a box under that which is regarding a credit protection subscription and she said I checked the box for that also (which I NEVER have ever done on any applications. So I was being charged 14.94 per month for i don't know how long, my bank statement online wont show me before 4/7/09 and these occur on the 1st of the month. The operator said she can cancel my subscription.. anything else? I said yes I want refunded for this service that I didnt request or use. First she said she couldnt... then after some more complaining, she said she could refund the current month charge but nothing prior. I hope I only had 1 other month of charges... so I didnt argue anymore, atleast I may get 1 month back... which she says will take up to 30 days. I said, the website I found that had dozens of complaints about your fraudulent charges says you told someone else 5-7 days (atleast I think thats what I saw) she repeated up to 30 days. I was like fine. She actually asked if there was anything else, I said no and she said 'have a nice day'. HAHA
