Billing and Bundles
When I bundled thorugh Qwest I was told that I had 30 days to return the services if I was not happy with them. Within 1 day I was aware that I did not want to be with these companies becasue they ran cables through my windows, that I cannot open or shut now, and honestly the whole thing was just a mess. So I called and cancelled. Qwest told me no problem and to just call direct tv to have them pick up their units. Well... Direct tv inofrms me that they do not follow the 30 day "return" policy and once I was installed it was a 2 year contract. I could not break it without paying 20.00 for each month not completed under the contract. I have been trying to get them to honor what they said they would without the termination fee for 4 days now with no luck. Qwest is misinforming people and "leaving out" valuable information to gain customers. Once you are locked in with Direct TV there is no way out. Even if you are military and have oders elsewhere or to deploy!!! They will not honor orders either!!

Ripped Off
Ripoff Report Verified Safe

I signed up for a bundle package online with qwest in November 2008. I then called the company to make sure everything was correct. I spoke to a young lady named casey. She told me everything was correct and quoted me a price of 119.30 per month. I recieved my first bill in December for 294.88, I called and ask why the bill was so high. They said that was cause it was prorated and installation charges and other charges the next will would be a lot lower. Never once was anything about going online to recieve a $18.00 rebate mentioned to me.

On January 29th 2009 I received another bill from Qwest for 166.76. I called Qwest again to see why still the bill was so high. I spoke to a young man named Jason, he ask me did I do the online rebate to receive 18.00 off my bill for 12 months. I told him no, I didn't know I had to do that. He then told me to go online to Directtv.com. I went to the site, but couldn't get any help there. I then called Direct tv, I was informed that I had 60 days to complete the rebate, I was a week late. He said there was nothing they could do about it. He said Qwest should have informed me of the rebate, when I said they just told me today. He said its too late we can't do anything for you.

I called Qwest back and told them I didn't think it was fair, that I should have been informed about this sooner, they referred me back to direct tv, who again told me there is nothing they can do about it. I called Qwest back again, and again they put me through to direct tv, and again they said they couldn't do it, its too late.

I don't think this is fare. I signed a 2 year agreement with Qwest, thinking I was getting the first year for 18.00 off my bill. Now I am stuck paying an extra 216.00 I had no planned on. The only reason I signed up was to get the $18.00 off my bill for the first 12 months.
