Non-payment
Dear Sir,
I am a manufacturer and exporter from Kashmir India. A person by name Mr. Ayanda Mobile;+2348083931570 of Nigeria with Email "alarape ayanda" <[email protected]>contacted my concern M/S Kashmir Dream Merchandise having Web site www.kashmirdreamm.com for supply of Kashmir handmade chain stitched woollen rugs . I, after various communications got the proforma invoice duly authenticated by him under his seal and signatures, the copy of which is attached here with.I accordingly dispatched the shipment through Saudi Arabian Airlines vide Air waybill 065 6390 6824 dated 26-07-2010.The consignee was International Bank Plc Lagos Island Lagos and A/C M/S R.A.Ajobo Nigeria Enterprises 40-42 Docemo Street Lagos Island Lagos Nigeria. Please find the documents attached. The buyer had to release documents from his bank after making due payment and would then get the goods released from air cargo.

Instead of this the buyer started arguing for direct release of consignment to his firm without bank involvement and wanted for 30 days credit from the date of receiving shipment. This was not the terms as per agreed invoice.Since the shipment had already reached Nigeria air port sent through Saudi Airlines as Shipment 065 63906824 weighing 142 Kilos From Srinagar, India 4 bales
value USD 3726.0on flight SV977 at 1011 hrs on 13Aug at Lagos, Nigeria. It put me in a fix.In the mean while the buyer managed to send the documents back from his bank at Lagos Island to my bank in India for modification in them.

Now for the last 04 months the status of goods lying at Lagos airport is not known despite our repeated mails.I had no alternative except to amend the documents after present status of shipment is known and to make the buyer take over the shipment and release my due payment after a month on a mere blind faith.

Sir, Will you be kind enough to help me out in this situation . Either i have been duped by the buyer from the first day and may be he has taken over the goods as well and is keeping me in dark.Or the working at Lagos airport is so irresponsible that they care hoots for customer.

I shall remain highly thankfull for your help.
Regards
Sufi Jalal
