THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE COMPLAINT COLLECTION DEPT. THEY ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL ON HOW THEY TREAT THE COSTUMERS. EVEN JUST ONE MONTH YOU MISSED THE PAYMENT THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE A DOG OR A SHIT CRIMINAL!!! I WROTE TO THE BANK ON MY FIRST COMPLAINT THEN AFTER 2 TO 3 DAYS I RECEIVE A CALL APOLOGISING TO WHAT THE AGENT SAID TO ME. THEY ASSURE ME IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. THEY WILL MAKE SURE THEY WILL DO ACTION ON THAT CASE. SO THEN NOW WHAT HAPPEN BECAUSE I HAVE MISSED ONE PAYMENT AGAIN NOW I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS INDIAN FELLOW FORCING ME TO PAY!! WITHOUT EVEN ASKING OR SAYING GREETINGS ON THE PHONE? THIS HOW HE SAID " YOU HAVE DONE THE PAYMENT? I SAID " WHO IS THIS " FROM RAKBANK HE REPLIED. THEN I SAID OK IM JUST WAITING FOR MY SALARY TO PAY MY DUES. HE SAID HOW COME YOUR HUSBAND SAID WILL PAY YESTERDAY? " HIS TONE IS LIKE YOU ARE SHIT CRIMINAL!!! THATS WHY I TOLD HIM I WILL COMPLAINT YOU HOW THE WAY YOU ARE TALKING!! HE SAID GO AHEAD COMPLAINT AND I WILL MAKE SURE I WILL FORCE YOUR PAPER TO LEGAL!"
IS THIS A NORMAL WAY HOW THE CUSTOMER BE TREATED ONCE THE PAYMENT HAVE MISSED ONCE? IS THIS HOW THE BANK WAY TO COLLECT MONEY? NO WONDER WHY SO MANY EXPATS CHOOSE TO ESCAPE RATHER THAN TO PAY BECAUSE BANK ITSELF PUSHES THEM TO DO IT!!!

Flawed cashback schemes
RAK Bank Simply Better???
Please change this tag line, it does not suit the services and/or policies of RAK Bank.

My complaint is primarily focussed on the false, bogus and totally flawed cash back schemes run on RAK Bank Titanium credit cards.

The card is sold to the customers by ensuring a 3% cashback and sometimes even a 5% cashback. And after a few months of usage when you realize the cashback is not in line with the promises made, you call the call centre and come to know that the scheme offers a 1% cashback on purchases made below AED 10000 pm, 2% on purchases made from AED 10000 to AED 25000 pm, 3% on AED 25000 plus purchases pm, and 5% only on international usage!!!

If that lie is not enough for a "simply better service", there are more ways to make fool of customers.

For my September bill, I ask why I received 1% cashback when I was entitled for a 2%. I get a reply that my bill is less than AED 10000. Then I ask why a bill of 9503 when my spending is very well above 10000 & hence entitled to 2% cashback. I get a reply "sir you have to make the purchases before 14th of every month to get them included in the credit card statement and hence get you 2% cashback. We cannot do anything in this case."
At least the telecaller was polite & I tried to forget this case & lose AED 100.

Now for the current month again when my statement was 9124, I make it a point to go and buy worth 1100 odd on 13th night to get the 2% cashback & not leave RAK Bank with any excuses. But to my utter surprise, RAK Bank has another new way of justifying the AED 100 loss to its customer by saying "sir it is Jack's fault that they took the money on 17th not ours & u better deal with Jacky's!!!" And wow what a rude tone & on asking do I scrap my & my family RAK Bank cards, a very convenient answer pops out of my telephone set "Sir it is entirely your wish!!!"

Is this what you call "Simply Better"??

So a net loss of AED 200 in three months time, please give me one good reason why not to be upset about the entire scenario!!!

insurance claim on ak bank card
This is with ref towards the insurance claim of my card 5124 0371 9086 6006.

Im so sorry to say that the response from Ms tanias end is totally dejecting and just because of her irresponsibilty and wrong information I have lost my insurance.

Upon losing my job i called up RAK bank and they guided me to your number and upon calling (after trying for 1 full week where everytime the call would deliberately go in voice mail, which I was able to understand from my experience with your service) you had informed me to provide my Termination letter, Visa cancellation page, Offer letter .Ms tania fernandez informed me to come to the branch and provid ethe documents.You also added that the same will be processed in 3-4 weeks.U informed me that I can submit the same within 3 monthsupon cancelling my visa

I came to your office as per your instruction and at that time you told me that you need the visa page without cancellation.
Later on I scanned the documents and forwarded to Ms Tanias end.There was not any response and i used to try daily to conatct her and for a month thecalls were not answered and the same as mentioned before would go to voice call.Finally I got the phone connected to one of your colleague and thru her i got a chance to speak to you.The way of your talk was so rude and you were yelling at me and you told that my case will definitely get declined because i have crossed 60 days upon losing mey job.Later on you told that you have not recieved any information from the insurance, and again you gave me hope saying that my insurance may get processed as my termination was genuine.

Now Its going to be 6 months and till date no response and nothing.Im entitled for around 4500 Dhs as I was paying for the credit shield.My termination was genuine and if my insurance claim is declined its nothing but coz of your improper information which have misguided.If you misguide in such a way no one will get their insurance cliams.Upon losing my job, when i calle d her up why didnt they inform me the procedure, why did she ask fo rteh cancellation paper.
I need a clarification or else i will go legally against this and would definitely make the public aware of such forgeries that the employees are doing inorder to make a persons insurance get declined.I swear that I will go to any extend to make this sorted out so that atleast the rest people will not get fooled.
