Offered free 3 day/ 2 night stay voucher with purchase of an ADT home security system.
Sent in voucher with $50 deposit. Called after no response for two months. Claimed they never received it.
Gave credit card info to book reservation. Called after one month of no confirmation on card or in mail. Claimed they had no record of the transaction (Clarice processed it). Was informed that they number we were calling could not process vacation vouchers (although they did last time we called) and they "transferred" us, which equated to putting us on hold for 30 mins and then the line cutting out. Called back 2 more times with similar result.
On fourth attempt (and after having to explain our situation fort he sixth time and our growing suspicion that this was all a scam) - was told that the woman I was speaking with was the most senior manager that anyone could speak with and that she reported "directly to the CEO". When asked to confirm her title, it was Customer Service Associate. When asked what company we were calling, she confirmed it was not Ramada, but Carnival Cruise Lines. I asked her to stay on the line while transferring me to the proper department and she claimed her phone system did not allow for that. When I offered to patch her in using 2-way on my phone, she refused. When I asked for the direct dial to the department they'd been trying to transfer me to -- she said there was none. I did finally get an extension out of her.
Of course, when we dialed this: 18002039783 x5357 - it rang and never picked up.
It's impossible to redeem the voucher. It's a scam. I would say we lost what we were lead to believe was a $250 value off the purchase of our ADT system.
