This is to inform your complaint department about the high-pressure disgusting way we were treated at the Randy Wise Chevrolet Buick Pontiac dealership in Milan Michigan.

It started with my phone call to them asking for a price on a 2006 Buick Terraza. We were coming off a lease on a Buick Rainier, which we liked very much except the rear wheel drive was not good in Michigan Winters. The Terraza at over $400 per month lease was more than we wanted to pay. Randy Wise’s salesman Ronald Marecle asked what we wanted to pay. My reply was $300, which was what we paid monthly on a 24-month lease for the Rainier. On Thursday, July 27 Mr. Merecle called saying they had a Buick Rendezvous I could have for $308.43 per mo. After hanging up I was not sure whether that was for 24 or 36 months lease so I called back and was told by Mr. Merecle that it was for 36 months. I said we would be down that afternoon. We (my wife Beverly and I) arrived at 3pm and after going over the car we picked out we sat down to go over the terms of the deal. The deal was the same as quoted on the phone, which was $550. down which included the first months lease payment of $308.43 for 35 months. Mr Merecle kept going somewhere leaving us there for 10 to 20 minutes each time he would come back and tell us it would be just a few more minutes. Finally I was turned over to what they called the accountant (didn’t get his name} to sign the papers. After signing a mound of papers the last one was the lease agreement, which stated $308.43 per month for 39 months not 36 months that was agreed upon. I brought this error to the attention of the ”accountant” and his statement was that the computer did it. He left for another 15 to 20 minutes when he turned me over to the assistant manager (again I forgot his name). This gentleman started by saying we can work something out. My response was that I just wanted the deal that was agreed upon with Mr. Mercele. He left and after another 15 to 20 minutes he came back with who I believe to be the owner Mr. Randy Wise. Mr. Wise did not seam willing to honor the original agreement so I said that I wanted my Rainier back so we could leave after being there at least 3 hours. My car was gone from where I left it and he would not give my keys back even after I demanded them several times. He ushered us out side in the heat after I became noisy and told him he was full of bullshit. We sat there for another 30 minutes with no way to leave when Mr. Wise came out and said that they would take the original deal. We finally left at 6:30 with a new Rendezvous but mentally whipped!

My feeling is that their scheme was to wear us down (which they did) and to pressure us into a deal that we had not agreed on by turning us over to other persons up to the owner.

The only thing they accomplished by conducting business in this manner is to lose a customer for themselves and for GM.
