I selected Allied Home Warranty this year thinking is was a professional company and with good service, unfortunately I was completely wrong, one of my houses in rental had a problem with the Air Conditioning on May 24 2011 and I called Allied to have a contractor to visit the house and do the inspection of the unit. The contractor was the company Lone Star Repair, they did the inspection two days later on May 26, and they reported the coil condenser was damaged and they need to put a new condenser, and also a new freon compressor. They prepare a report where I had to pay out of packet $1, 400 dlls + $495 for the recharge of freon. I contacted Allied Home Warranty and they said the 3 tons condenser was covered on the contract but there were other thinks I should also pay, I asked them how much they were paying and they did not want to give me the number, I asked them to get the cash out and I will get another professional company to do the installation and they did not want to follow the contract rules. finally after long discussions and wasting time with July, Gloria and different people from Allied they told me to get another quotation to compare the prices they have from Lone Star Repair, I got the quote for $2050 dlls for the complete service and they said I can give a reduction of $145 dollars, and that's all I can do. The house had 3 days without air conditioning with 90 to 95 oF inside and the tenant who is a lady with serious cancer and treatment, she was very sick and she was desperate to have the air conditioning running.

I finished paying $1, 750 dollars + the service fee of $75 dlls for the 3 tons condenser and the freon compressor which supposedly was 100 % covered by Allied Home Warranty on the contract.

This company should be reported to the Business Bureau as a fraudulent company and they should not doing stealing money to the customers. I am also obligated to continue with them wait until the contract finished because they put a clause on the contract that it can not be cancelled, as soon the contract finish I will NEVER use them again. I definitively do not recommend it to anybody.
