Dear Sir/Madam,
We recently upgraded to server 2008. It is now evident according to our IT support company (Network CTI Ltd) that there are 2 fundamental flaws namely:
1. We are unable to backup our data as there is a conflict in respect of a number of files whose naming convention is compliant however the number of characters exceeds the filename limit (we have previously been able to backup these files); due to the number of files affected it is not practicable to rename these files at this time and we are therefore without an effective backup solution.
2. We are now unable to access client PC's on the network remotely - we have been advised to download additional software/services (http://www.teamviewer.com/download/index.aspx) however we do not see why we should incur this expense as this functionality should be available within the MS server software.
Network CTI Ltd have been advised by the software vendor that these are not MS issues which is clearly not factually correct.
We look forward to your immediate response.
Regards,
Paul Sayer
