Growing up my family has always bought our vehicles from Ray Dennison's in Pekin. in 2006 I decided it was time for me to buy my first car from them. I selected a used 2003 Monte Carlo that had only 57, 000 miles on it. They tell you about all the things they did to the car, new battery, new filters, new tires, etc... I bought the car and took a road trip to Tennessee to visit a friend of mine who was going to college down there. The second day I was there, we decided to go get something to eat and we jump into my car. Turn the key...and nothing happens. Our initial thought was that maybe I left a light on or something. So we got some jumper cables and tried to charge it back up to no avail. After monkeying around with it we took the battery out only to discover that it wasn't a new battery and that it was corroding. No wonder it wasn't taking a charge. Sometime after that I had my oil changed. The attendant had me come out as he pulled my air cabin filter out. It was completely BLACK with dirt and even had those little maple tree spinners lodged in it. Needless to say, they didn't really do anything to that car except slap on some new tires and detail clean it. I paid 14, 000 dollars for that car. Total rip off considering that I could buy a new Impala 08 for the same price or less today! And GM wonders why they are failing?
