Recliner broke after 3 years
I purchased a recliner from R&F in June 2007. In late Feb 2011 a bar under the chair that lifts the foot rest on the recliner broke. I called R&F and advised I had the Platinum Repair Plan(Extra $60). They said with all the snow they were acked up and set up an appointment for 3/31/11 or one month later/ On 3/31 the repair rep showed up with the wrong part. I was advised they come back in 2 weeks.Three weeks have passed.I spoke to them & advised I needed a Saturday delievery. I said since I've waited so long could they accommodate me (you know, the customer) and send a repair rep to my house this Saturday, 4/23. They said the best they can do is June (I assume in 2011). So I'll be sitting in my recliner chair for 2 more months with my feet up on a folding chair. I'll be buying R&F furniture again real soon.

Scam
Reported our dissatisfaction with a sectional after a couple of weeks, only offer to take it back was if we purchased a more expensive replacement. After just over a year the middle seat collapsed. No problem, platinum care, no? Yeah, if you don't mind waiting for a month. Raymour and Flannigan in our opinion is more appropriately Pay-more and Scam-again. While shopping, remember that furniture just doesn't need to look good: it also has to be durable. We had concerns when this junk was first delivered and we learned the hard way that they were completely legitimate. R and F should spend less on marketing and more on quality control.

Ignored my complaint
I purched furniture two years ago and it is falling apart and needs adjustments I am a senior citizen and have no grandchildren and no company jet my dining room chairs and table are rocking the glass in the wall unit fell out I feel that you should send someone here to at least fix it. I didn't buy protection because I believed your salesman when they told me your furniture is of the highest quality and certianly thought it would last more then two years and should last more than that with hardley being used.I bought the fruniture on central avenue in Yonkers

Delivery is delayed twice due to color uneveness of sofa
Raymour & Flanigan schedules delivery and, at the last minute reschedules
because the leather of the sofa is unevenly dyed. I am frustrated because
this is the second time this has happened. The merchandise should be
inspected before delivery time is scheduled. They provide a four hour
window for delivery. Before the merchandise is loaded on the truck, it
should be inspected.
Delivery has been scheduled for a third time. I will inspect the
sofa and if it is not acceptable, it will be returned and I will
purchase elsewhere.Customer service is helpless. I have not been
reassured this issue has been resolved.

This is one of the worst companys I've ever delt with
I can't believe I didn't listen to some friends who warned me not to deal with Raymour and Flanigan. I really loved the leather 3, 000 couch and chair that was on the floor.After it was dilivered to my home I've had nothing but problums. The couch and chair don't match, and the leather is so cheep compared to what was on the floor. I have been complaning for months and they don't care. They say they'll take care of me than I never hear from them. I pay 98 dollors a month and put 1, 000 down and they won't help me. This is wrong!!!

defect on leather sofa
I purchased two leather couches from these jerkoffs nice couches the brand name of the couches are simon lee well one of the couches center cushins tore away from the back support the stiching must have been defective ok no problem i have the platinum protective bullshit i call they send there tech out now mind u the couches are about three months old .the tech tells me it has to be restiched and has to be brought to warehouse nah nah wrong i told them to bring a new couch no problem cusomer service says well guess what they brought a new couch and it wasn't a simon lee it was a cheaper version of the couch and when i called them on it the answer i got was sir we changed factories bullshit i said .what they do is when they have to exhange something they get a outside furniture maker to copy the pattern and give u a knock off. JERKOFFS ! don't buy shit from these companies now a days they want u to pay top dollar and give u a shit product . So im stuck with a nice couch and a knock off that the cushins on this one feel like there stuffed with a bag of cotton .

Bad service
I bought a micro fiber couch and love seat from raymour in Oct 2009. The couch is falling apart. its not even a year old. The first tear i had in the seat cushion it took them a 3 weeks to get the part in then other 2 weeks to schedule an appointment with the warranty company. I paid a good amount extra for the warranty. Then again i had another tear they came out in a week looked at it took pictures said they had to order the part. it took 3 weeks again to get the part then 2 weeks to have them come out and say they order the wrong part!!! I went back and forth with the warranty and the actual store I will never buy anything from Raymour and Flanningan again. Incompetience at its best.

Salesman changed price 3 times
My wife and I went to the R&F Clearance Center in Bridgewater on August 1, 2010 to purchase a bedroom set, 3 box springs and 3 bed frames. We picked a bedroom set that the salesman by the name of James said was $2, 246 which included a dresser, chesser and a bed bench, while we wered looking at the other items metioned above he informed me that the chesser we had just picked out with the bedroom package had been sold and he would have to order a new one and the price went up by $300.00 then while he was taking my information he got on the phone and after hanging up said that the king bed set that was in another store had a lot of blemishes (this is a clearance center so merchandise is not perfect) and he could work out a deal on a new one for an additional $290.00 which my wife and I agreed to. We tagged all the furniture that was in the store that we would pick up and finally when we went to the counter to sign the papers I noticed the total was higher than what he had said. I questioned him and he became very nervous and started to sweat, some of the prices had changed and he said he had forgotten to add the bed bench which was included from the beginnig at the $2, 246.00 price. In total my wife and i spent almost three hours in the store and finally walked out. The price of $2, 246 had gone up by almost $800.00 and to top all this his manager which was sitting in front of us at the counter and did absolutely nothing about it and let us walk out of the store. I wasted my time and got a run around, the salesman's greed let me walk out of the store when I was willing to spend over $2, 700 on all the items I went there to buy. I have been in sales for over 30 years and if I did what this salesman did I would have been out of business long ago. I will never shop at R&F ever again and will warn everyone to be very careful if you intend to do so. I will also file a complaint with Better Business Bureau.

Never shop there
315-652-3711 Is the worst store on the planet. They sold a friend of mine a sectional couch for a 1, 000 bucks. That would have been fine if the couch was not damaged. We were going to load the couch onto my truck when we had noticed that it had a rip in the bottom about 5 inches long.
If you have ever moved a couch you know that it is easier to move though doorways without the feet on. So my friend unscrewed one of the feet from the bottom of the couch. Upon doing this about a 20inch by 20 inch corner from the bottom cover fell. It was being held on by the foot of the couch!
Now the inside of the couch had been reveled. We saw that the corner of the frame of the couch had been broken a then repaired! Someone had "fixed" it by taking a piece of pine and "marring" it with sheet rock screws to the broken frame.
So we tell the stock boys what we had found and one of them asked "did you rip it?"
They then got the sales girl who said she "didn't no nothing about it" "they should have done a 360 on it" then went to get the store manager the store manager (Debbi Rossi) Came back and asked us why WE ripped it. We said it was ripped to fix a broken frame and not stapled back up. She then told us that she had us on video RIPPING the cover off the couch!! I was so pissed. I felt so bad for my friend. He was sold a broken couch, discovered the cover-up and then was accused of damaging property to get a discount! I left the building because I was so pissed off.
My friend made them show him the video tape they claimed they had and it showed that we did NOT do what they accused us of. They refunded his money and told him that they had the same couch at a different store for 700 bucks more. Real nice. He declined the offer and left.
I will never shop at Raymour And Flanigan. And I will tell all my friends of my experience.

Defective product
I purchased a bed frame, sofa and wall unit for my new home from Raymore and Flanigan. The sofa was a custom order and it came in early, I was thrilled.
Delivery Attempt 1: I got a phone call at 7:00 to tell me the wall unit was not going to deliver this week. There was a PROBLEM WITH THE GLASS DOORS. But all other pieces will deliver.
Delivery Attempt 2: They sent two people to my home NEITHER SPOKE ENGLISH and therefore could not communicate with me. THE WALL UNIT WAS SCRATCHED ON THE FRONT CENTER. The deliveryman wanted to leave the product and tried touching it up with a sharpie marker and telling me it was okay!
Delivery Attempt 3: I was promised to be the first delivery at 9:00 am. At 10:00 I called customer service and was told they were in traffic near my home. I looked at google’s live traffic to see that there was no traffic where the customer service person claimed there to be traffic. Also, I asked if the drivers this week will be English speaking and the woman answered me saying since she is bilingual if I have problems communicating she is more than happy to translate via the phone. IN AMERICA, DEALING WITH AN AMERICAN COMPANY, I EXPECT PEOPLE TO COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH. ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE SENDING PEOPLE TO MY HOME.
I called the manager whom told me they messed up the delivery schedule and I would have wait for them until 1:00.
Customer service is polite and quick to answer. But they just tell the customers what they want to hear and then do what they wish while on your clock.
Unless you have all the time in the world to wait for them to get their act together I would never buy another product from them again.
