I made a payment on 01 October 2009 on my Game account, which has now been taken over by RCS. I made a manual payment, as their EFT and debit orders are not yet up and running.
When I phoned to confirm whether my payment was received, I was told that I had to go into a Game store, from where they would fax the deposit slip to prove payment. I was informed that I would then have these funds available in my account for purchases.
When I got to Game Pavillion, they faxed my deposit slip to RCS Head Office, but then we were told that the payment FIRST needs to be allocated then the funds would be made available.
I was assured that I would be contacted on Monday (which is today 05 October). As of now, I have not received a call from RCS OR GAME! I followed up this afternoon, and was told that there was not feedback yet.
In the good old day, when the Game accounts were done in house, there was NEVER any of this hassle. I could walk in, do a payment in sotre and the funds were available immediately.
Something is VERY wrong. This change over has not been smooth at all for the customers, who are given the run around!
