Info for a FULL REFUND
I experienced the same SCAM. And exhausted all avenues to get my refund. I am going to share with you 3 contact numbers that you need to HARASS for a FULL REFUND. Carbon copy all of them on your correspondences via email. If they get enough of these requests they will have to change their deceptive business practices. They were getting ANNOYED with my persistance! They are quite aware of all the complaints. And Yes I received a FULL refund!

Unauthorized charges to my credit card
As with every other complaint I have read on this website I also was scammed by Realty Trac/ REPromoter and they charged $44.95 per month for two months. I called RE Promoter on Dec 23rd 2009 when I discovered the error and they promised to refund the amounts. They have so far only refunded one amount and I have not received the second refund even though they claim that both refunds have been processed. I have spent several hours dealing with this issue and now I am in the process of disputing the charge with the bank to get the 2nd refund. I wrote to James Saccacio CEO of Realty Trac to ask him why he is sharing credit card information with other web sites but he has not had the courtesy to respond. Obviously Realty Trac is part of the scam and is probably sharing the scammed revenue with other companies. In my opinion an electronic payment is in place of a check that you may write to an individual or business but that should not give the receiver the authority to share your bank information with anyone they wish to. I will not be surprised if a class action sue is not brought against these scammers in the near future.

Scam charges
I ordered RealtyTrac and cancelled on the same day because the company could not get through my Norton firewall. RealtyTrac gave my Chase Mastercard number to Real Estate Promoter with any authorization.

Real Estate Promoters posted three charges to my account on 9/13, 10/13, and 11/13/2009.

I contacted the fraud section of MasterCard. I will file a complaint against this company with the United States Attorney General's Office.

Unauthorized charges
We recently signed up for Realtytrak and cancelled our service within 2 months. I logged into my account to cancel the service and completed the cancellation process as instructed. Unfortunatley, I didn't save the cancellation authorization e-mail because monthly charge appeared on my credit card statement a month later. When I contacted Realty Trac, they instructed me that they wouldn't be able to trace the problem without a confirmation number and they instruced me to cancel the service again - after they collected another month in fees. To top it off, RealtyTrac gave my credit card number to Real Estate Promoter without my authorization.

The Repromo company posted a 44.95 charge to my card for some service that I don't know about. I'm on hold now with my credit card company to dispute the charges.

Unauthorized Charge
I did sign up for Realty Trac, Inc.
I did not authorize or sign up for a partner agreement with Real Estate Promoter.
I do not like the fact that my credit card number is issued to someone else (ie.
Real Estate Promoter).
I am attempting to dispute this charge on my credit card.
I am not aware of any e-mail communication from Real Estate Promoter and am not
interested in their service.

Unauthorized charges
As with all of the previous posts, I subscribed to Realty Trac and ended up being charged for Real Estate Promoter (and received no services, of course) at 39.95 and then 49.95 a month.

I disputed charges to Capital ONe and the company and they were reversed. Then, 6 months later, the charges started showing up again. This is clearly a fraud. The 800# operator cheerfully reverses the charges and doesn't even try to argue that this was a service that I ordered. Clearly a fraud in which they hope consumers don't scrutinize their credit card bills.

I am reporting to my local DA's office of consumer fraud and will try to get Capital One to investigate as well. Have also made a complaint on BBB site the first time around - still unresolved.

Unauthorized charges
I signed up for RealtyTrac.com's free trial and liked the website so I kept my account active for a couple months. I ended up closing on a house (not one that I found on their site) and canceled my subscription with Realty Trac. Every month since then I have been charged $49.95 by Real Estate Promoter. These charges were NOT authorized.

Random Fees...grrrr
I signed up for RealtyTrac, found their services extremely unhelpful, and cancelled my subscription with them. All of a sudden, I see a charge for $49.99 out of my account for Real Estate Promoter... who??? I never received any services from these people... When I called she said that she couldn't find my name at first. Then, when she found my name she said she couldn't give me my money back. RealtyTrac and Realty Promoter should be seriously investigated. Way too many people are complaining about this. You sign up for one thing and get nothing but unexpected, unauthorized charges.
