paid full delivery charge and mattress didnt get delivered
My parents went to the store and ordered a bed in their sale line. It was a manhattan bed (double). And a REALM DOUBLE MATTRESS (MEMORY FOAM). My father went to payed cash for and was told by the sales person that here is a number YOU can call and arrange your delivery date. Which my mum did when they got home. they were told a week later they be able to delivery it.My parents said that was ok. Some else from their delivery department phoned and told my parents a different date. and they thought that the bed was canceled by the customer and that there was misunderstanding. My farther went to the store and spoke to the sales person who had placed the order. He obviously hadn't put all the details with the delivery instructions. Then he forwarded everything again and a delivery date was set again for the 24th feb 2011. When the bed was finally delivered surprise surprise the MATTRESS WAS NOT ON THE DELIVERY REQUEST. The delivery guy phoned the depot to find out why there is no mattress and someone from there said the mattress is at the store and was meant to be collected by the customer. I phoned the store in hounslow to speak to the manager and he was on holiday for a week and he is the same sales person who had served my dad.And the person i spoke to gave a customer service number. I phoned them and they said the only way they can delivery the bed to is we pay a courier £25.00 and they will send us a cheque for £30.00. I dont think that we would ever buy any thing from DREAMS PLC and will advice any one who wants to buy from there. My dad had no choice but to pay the courier the £25-00 as he is old and he had arranged his old bed to be taken away the day the new bed was delivered. Otherwise they would be left without a mattress.
