David Zelinski's outfit preys on military families (and others) in need of temporary or short term housing while stationed at Camp Lejeune. While advertising well maintained housing in "good" neighborhoods", the reality of doing business with this particular Realty World Today defines the cautionary wisdom "BUYER BEWARE".
As we all know, 2008 has brought one of the worst economic downturns in history. We have watched local businesses close, car dealerships have vanished in record numbers, construction has suffered and real estate, in some areas saw the worst year of all time.
Good car salesmen hit the road and started "auction" sales. Top Mortgage professionals went into the "sub-prime" market. The better Realtors stepped up their game and became very creative adding property management while continuing to pursue additional legitimate paths leading to new revenue.
As for the bottom half of the "Realtor" bucket, look no further than "Realty World Today David Zelinski". The differnce is in the method they use to "generate" new revenue. They seem to think they have the right to steal security deposits entrusted to them.
"David Zelinski" is in this bottom half of the bucket. My experience with "REALTY WORLD TODAY David Zelinski" illustrates poor eithics and what seems to be the new "underbelly" of the Real Estate culture. Scammers like "David Zelinski" who now must rely entirely on Property Management where they once had commissioned real estate sales. That is a huge difference to make up.
Rather than "doing more with less" like the rest of us, David Zelinski seems to have chosen the "road to riches" on the backs of hard working service families.
"Realty World Today David Zelinski" intentionally charges unreasonably high security deposits in which he has no intention of refunding any portion back to the tenant. If you live in a property managed/leased or rented with any affiliation to "Realty World David Zelinski" for 3 months or 3 years; the outcome will not vary.
BEWARE! No "walk-through" at move-in; or move-out; no signatures, no checklist; none of the normal above board and ethical processes in place when you are dealing with a legitimate business.
Since "Realty World Today David Zelinski" doesn't have to look you in the eye when he is itemizing the charges you will pay to him; anything goes.
Your deposit will literally be eaten up in a stack of handwritten statements made out to "Mr. Dave". The stationary store receipts allege cleaning or gardening work, however the documents lack a legitimate BUSINESS name or LICENSE number of a verifable vendor. Also missing; the hourly rate charged, a tally of the number of hours worked; the substance of a legitimate business document
What you will have are several pages of illegible scribble concluding with a crystal clear number following a (minus); the total in which you are to contribute to Dave and Crew after you have left.
I personally called David Zelinski in an attempt to establish credibility for the "unnamed" vendor charges . I only lived in the property 3 months, how is it I racked up a $2000.00 PLUS charge??? I had not even unpacked; I knew I may get called back to another state and this is indeed what happened.
After briefly stating his opinion(s) regarding my request; he simply "hung-up the phone. I have never been in this type of situation and would not wish it on anyone.
It is David Zelinski's stated opinion, he is not obligated to use licensed individuals for any service connected to charges to your security deposit brought about through Realty World Today property management.
Steer clear of "David Zelinski" and Realty World Today.
