I purchased via Paypal this software that is supposed to recover files from damaged, corrupted drives. The software just appeared to be scanning the damaged external hard disk and created a "directory tree" but after paying for the software I found that there were NO FILES in the folders. It was a complete waste of time and money. When I emailed their support service all I got was comments about using the "registration key" and downloading the "full version"

The story has a happy ending in that I found an Open Source program that recovered the vast majority of my data.
